I bought 4 of these to complete my home office. Nice looking and not to difficult to assemble. I would say of the four I purchased two had minor issues with chipped boards but those were in areas that were hidden once complete.

Grommet holes are too small.

The cord grommet holes need to be standardized with the rest of the industry. Nothing fits in that small grommet hole if you are trying to install a power hub in it. It is way to small at 1. 75 inches when the standard seems to be 3 inches. Trying to drill bigger only results in damage to the desktop finish and it should be 3 inches from the factory.

This put the FUN in furniture

I bought this file cabinet for my wife. Putting it together was my present to myself. The directions were excellent. The only problem I had was when I misread the directions, and correcting my mistake was simple. All the pieces were there, and everything fit perfectly. The finished product is solid. Ideal item for home office

This is a beautiful cabinet and ideal home office item with two drawers and one file holder drawer and the bottom has casters. The parts are high quality so they fit to each other.

Very nice file cabinet

I purchased this to replace a much less expensive file cabinet that we had for years that finally fell apart. I was really impressed with this one, even before I opened the package. It was very well packaged, the corners of the box were even reinforced.

Great workmanship!

File cabinet came extremely well boxed. All components were well padded. All hardware listed was present. Directions are simple and easy to follow. Have order and assembled several Sauder pieces over the years. Never been disappointed yet. All the drawers fit perfectly, glide smoothly, and close properly. Finish is clean, no scratches, chipped corners, or poorly drilled holes. A color touch up pen is a nice touch.

Excellent value for money, easy to put together and looks GREAT!

I have been totally impressed with two Sauder items that we have purchased thus far. They look like high-quality pieces of furniture and it was actually fun putting them together thanks to the detailed step-by-step instructions and patented screwing system. No ikea-style double Allen key nonsense, no power drill necessary...just a screwdriver and a hammer. Nice to have someone assisting but totally manageable working alone.

Disappointed in the color

Your picture didn’t really show an accurate color that I would end up with. I was trying to coordinate the color with the office furniture I have already purchased from you. But this cherry wood does not match at all with my previous purchases. It’s too dark, more brown than cherry. But since I have already assembled it I guest I’m stuck with it.

Well constructed (in USA) and directions are complete. If you are handy, figure on at least 4 hours to assemble.

Excellent design . Great value. The assembly process and instructions were the best I've ever experienced. The assembly sequence, the labeling and organization of the partsand the clarity of instructions were superior. Great job!

File cabinet parts made from fake wood!

This cabinet is junk; I am very disappointed and will not purchase another product from Sauder!

Perfect for any office!

Each generation of this Sauder furniture gets to be easier to assemble, and the file cabinets went together without a hitch. Pay close attention to the instructions, though. The end product is sturdy, substantial, and the drawers slide smoothly. I used two of them and a 24-inch door to make a desk.
