Absolutely stunning piece

A bit fiddly to put together but it looks absolutely stunning in my living room. Very pleased with it.

I grew up with one of these chairs and this one is beautiful. However, unlike the one I had, you cannot fold it up, so my plan to use it occasionally as an extra chair is not an option. But for the price and the value of it we are still keeping it.

It was a bit challenging to put it together, the metal bars didn’t quite fit correctly, had to use a hammer to force it into place. The leather is still a bit stiff not too comfortable to sit for long periods. But I like it. It’s alright. More of an accent piece.

Impossible to assemble

After several attempts, I've still not managed to get the metal bits stick together, the last pieces just don't fit each time, no matter in which order I start, the measurements are not at all exact! Could have been a nice chair, but for me it's still completely unusable...

Chairs are nice, instructions are not very clear, but once you figure it out, they're easy to assemble. Mixed reviews from people who have used them as to how comfortable they are and care needs to be taken getting up or you may end up on the floor. Getting a couple of ottomans to see if it's better for those that don't find them comfortable.

Fun and functional chairs. Assembly is a bit tough

I love the look of these chairs. They make the room look fun. However, they are hard to assemble. The instructions are simple and straight forward but the pieces do not line up easily. It takes significant strength to make it all work. Once completed, it's all great but it is a bit of a struggle to man-handle these pieces into place toward the end when everything gets a little rigid. they are pretty comfortable for a simple design.

Really like the color of the chair cover. The chair back “sits” more upright than original 1950-60’s versions—it is more side chair like than a lounge and is somewhat more petite than the originals. It was bit fiddly to assemble; took a little hand and arm strength to bend and shove. However, the matching components are marked with indented (metal stamped) labels instead of something that will wear or fall off over time, an improvement over some other products.

Sadly this chair is one

Sadly this chair is one of the most uncomfortable I have ever sat in. From what I experienced, it's soul purpose is to look nice. Quite honestly there is no support, not for your neck, head or shoulders. Literally your head fall's between the open space, your legs get trapped between the two small sections at the front and you cannot move them. An utter waste of money. It is annoying to put together. I actually had to buy another chair, which had more bits and bobs to put together and it took less than half the time. If, the legs had all the makings they were supposed to have, rather than missing numbers and letters perhaps it would have taken less time. I actually gave the seat away to a friend who was looking for a statement piece for her staircase, it'll never get sat it just looks nice. I honestly wouldn't waste your money. It is a shame because the leather at least is quality but as for the entire purpose of a chair, well it is without doubt an epic fail.

I really wanted to love this butterfly chair because butterfly chairs are awesome and fit the vintage of our home. However 2 things just don't 'work with this version: the 'leather' is a gorgeous rich color! but it's actually a thin layer of brown stuff (leather?) glued to white fabric. The leather piece comes folded so there are creases and crack lines where the white substrate shows through. The company was gracious and replaced the first seatback, but the second seatback had a similar crease in it (less than the first but still obvious.) The main reason we aren't fans of the chair, though, are the LINES. The classic butterfly chair has an iconic, elegant geometry where the metal lines intersect at the side and form an X, but this chair... from the side.. is awkward. Each of the 4 chair sections fits into a support bracket that's fixed, and the result is that the chair back is angled too far forward and not in line with the legs. From the front, the chair looks great, but from the side- not so much.

Posh leather butterfly chair

I’ve always wanted a chair like this. I thought it always looked very posh. The leather is very stiff but heavy. I’m not worried about it ripping. The back is high. The chair came with a little bit of a where mark in the crease of the back but other than that looks great. Legs Sturdy and lock into place. This was easy to put together. When I sit in it I slide out of the chair a little. It is not super comfortable but I’m using it more for an accent piece in a room so it will not be used a lot. Still very happy with what I was looking for.

Overall I would give it a three stars just because the seat is a bit narrow. I’m only 120 lbs and it still does not support my bums properly. However after I added a cushion abs that made it more comfortable. The color and quality of the leather seat is very nice . Assembly is a bit confusing at first but I bought two of them abs so the second one did not take long to assemble.

Nice quality for the price point

I was pleasantly surprised at how sturdy and nice the leather seat was. I wanted something for "additional" seating in my living room but didn't want to spend a lot of money on another leather chair to match my living room suite. The only issue was that it was a bit confusing to assemble although once I got all of the parts laid out and identified, it came together fairly quickly. For the price point, this was a very good buy.

Gorgeous butterfly chair!

We all loved this butterfly chair! The color is beautiful and I would recommend it to anyone. We used this chair in a living room in a mid-century modern home and it looks amazing! The color and size are exactly what we had in mind and the chair is so comfortable! We threw a gray cozy throw on it and a light color pillow and the room looks great.
