Excellent customer Service, Faulty Chair
Customer Service was excellent, but chair was faulty. The chair was not ergonomic, and kept tilting downward (my guess is due to the foot-rest). The foot-rest would slide out from under the chair every time the chair moved, which caused annoyance as I had o keep pushing it back under. The back and seat were also very wobbly, even after disassembling and reassembling the item to get it tight.
This thing is physically impossible to assemble with the materials provided. The holes on the base of the chair that are supposed to attach to the back are larger than the screws meaning they intend you to screw them in from inside the miniscule space on the base bracket. One problem: The allen wrench provided DOESN'T FIT!!! SO HOW CAN I POSSIBLY SCREW THESE THINGS IN WITHOUT ANOTHER TOOL?! Maybe I'm crazy but I see no other way this can work.
Don't Buy!
First of all the chair did come early. I put it together but the directions weren't clear. So it took a little longer than it should have. I'm sitting in the chair now and the fabric is scratchy and I know this chair will not last long. It's wobbling from side to side and the arms feel like they are gonna fall off very soon. I hope I can return this chair for something that will last at least a year. Probably too much to ask. Oh and this seat is hard.
Do not order this chair, or from Wayfair in general. Every product I've bought from this company has been disappointing, products are cheap quality with a not so cheap price, and most of the time they break after the return window has already passed. With this chair specifically, the leg rest broke it can no longer be used, the seat became uncomfortable, and one of the arm rests became loose not long after assembling. Very disappointed.
Not as comfortable as it looks, arms are wobbly
I bought this to replace a chair I had for 13 years, bought it on sale at Office Max. The lumbar support was ok, the cushions were not comfortable and I just couldn't settle in. The foot rest seemed like a good idea but it was better in theory than application. The arms were wobbly. For the price it was an ok chair but it didn't have the sturdiness or comfort I was looking for.
The bottom cushion is flat & unsupportive, which is very disappointing I weigh only 70 kg. Now, the chair is quite uncomfortable to sit on, and I am considering buying a new one. I am currently using pillows underneath to make it a bit more comfortable. I wish I could get my money back, but unfortunately, it has been over 14 days since I bought it.
PROS
Not so good.
The chair is very cool, A little hard to put together because the instructions were a bit off, but easy to figure out on your own. It is very comfortable and sturdy. Easy to recline or just sit comfortably. I would definitely recommend this chair, it even helps my bad back feel a bit better when and after sitting.***** After a while I figured out the cushion and comfort does not hold up very well.******
This is my third attempt to find a suitable chair for working from home, which I have done for the last 5+years, 40+ hours/week. The chair is comfortable, I am using it for 3 days now, the adjustment for the backrest is actually useful, you can stop it at a given angle so you don't topple over. The downsides are the fact that the fabric cover can't be removed for washing and the design of the armrests - I don't like "sculpted" plastic I would have preferred a modern-looking angled design. But the core is metal so they are load-resistant enough. The extra extended leg rest is not so much useful but it is usable only if you can balance your legs so they will actually rest on it. There are no squeaks while rotating or changing the balance on it, at least not so far, the other model I had were doing that from day 1. I have around 120 kg so the test is quite ok.
poor quality, falls apart after 8 months.
Horrible quality. Didn't even last a year (Bought July 2022). The head pillow tore and fell off, the kickstand gets stuck and is wobbly, the seat cushion is thin and poor quality. You will be sitting on bars after just a few months. Arm rests are not comfortable. The only plus is that it does lean back really far. The kickstand is great in thought. Extremely disappointing.
So far, I love this chair! Is is comfortable, love the neck pillow and adjustability of the back. I sit in weird positions, and love to sit with my legs up, and I got this chair specifically for the reclining leg slide out. I love how I can adjust it so I can sit in Indian position, or with my legs straight out. I also like that it is fabric/linen instead of leather. I would recommend for sure!
I've only just got this so these are my initial thoughts.
No comfort - no lumbar support - deficient service
The chair is too firm, and there is no lumbar support at all. I bought it for my back injury and the only way my back feels supported is if I use the footrest. In addition, it only reclines. It will stay firmly set in the position you put it in rather than adjust to your movement like many other chairs do (rocking motion). To finalize, the pillow cannot be removed, and it does not slide all the way down the chair - I could have used the pillow for my lower back... unless napping no one works with their head completely upon the headrest. I will have to sell it and buy another brand, because Overstock leaves you stuck with all of the arrangements for this type of item. I would have to pay almost what I paid for the chair in order to return it... unfair and ridiculous. this is my last Overstock purchase. do better.
Due to working from home, I was looking for a comfortable office chair that I need to use all day with foot rest. Finally I found this right chair from aosom. I got it delivered within 2 days from the day I ordered. The assembly was so easy and simple. I was able to assemble the chair myself within 30 minutes. I would recommend 2 people especially when we install the back rest. I am using the chair for almost a week. Wow what a chair. It is so comfortable even if I sit for the whole day. I really like the foot rest and it is very convenient to use. The cushions are of great comfort and lumbar support is awesome. It is very luxurious and looks very elegant. It is really a great chair for all day use. Glad I bought the chair for my every day use. The aosom customer service is exceptional and we can talk with customer service within few mins whenever we need any help. I am happy to make the right purchase.
Easy assembly - comfortable and right color choice
I chose this chair because it was only one available that had a color that fits my decor, had a retractable footrest, looked comfortable, and had overall good reviews. My 'office' is also where I watch TV and this is my only chair for working at my computer and watching my favorite shows. My last chair was a typical executive desk chair, but the hydralic seat lifter gave out and really did not fit my room's decor. This chair arrived in good time and was very easy to put together with just visual directions and the included allen wrench - only one part (back brace connecting back to seat) was not clearly shown as to which way to attach since piece had an angle and looked like it could fit either way. I thought I might have to try both ways before attaching, but guessed right the first try. Chair seat is not as comfortably padded as I hoped, but overall, the first time I relaxed with the footrest extended, I fell asleep, so overall very pleased with this purchase.
Comfy but a few issues
I bought this for my husband as an office chair. I was looking for fabric because he ruins "fake leather" ones. Within a year or two the "leather" is tearing off the backing. He is giving it mixed reviews. The arm rests are wobbly and no matter what he as tried, he can't get them to stay tight. Has retightned them several times and only had it put together for a few days. He does state it is comfy and the Leg rest is a nice feature. Regarding the back, it either has to be in a reclined setting or locked setting. He is not crazy about this and would like it to be flexible like most office chairs that have some give which is more comfortable
Handsome Chair
Easy put together. After going through the parts list and THOUGHT I was missing one part, it was actually already on the piece (legs 5 star shape "center cap" was there all the time. Then build went seamlessly. As far as comfort...Not great, not awful. The footrest is a pain, and isn't comfortable for me. However, Looks great! Good desk chair overall. I had originally bought a message recliner, but it was way too short for my desk, forcing me to purchase a desk chair. Love the pillow placement for head. Rolls easy and is overall a good chair. I just happen to sit in this chair most of my day. Was looking for some softness somewhere. LOL
Not as comfortable as it looks. But not hopeless!
All in all a decent chair, but it left me much to be desired. The chair is shown to be deceptively soft in the photos, where in reality it was much to firm for my comfort. It was easy to assemble, and came packaged decently. It had an overall solid size that would be perfect for me if I didn't have the qualm with it's comfort or head support. As stated above, it was much too firm for me. You can feel the hard plastic under the soft cushion. Unless you like that sort of feel, it will leave you wanting a better experience. There is also very little lumbar support in the back. The cushion at the top is okay and can be slid up and down the top of the body of the chair, but it doesn't seem to make me any happier with the product. The main reason I am leaving the score as I am is because my brother was also in need of a chair and fell in love with this one as soon as he sat in it. He didn't mind any of the problems that I found with the piece. If you, or the person you're buying it for, has the same taste as he, I can recommend it. If not, I've got bad news.
This chair is a recliner, not a rocker. The difference is important.
The reason I was looking for a recliner vs a rocker is because I feel like standard office chairs impose an uncomfortable sitting position called "good posture." Good posture? No. I need to be able to recline back ever so slightly or the chair gives me back pain. A rocker can recline as long as you continue to push back, but the angle of the seat to the back is fixed, so when the back reclines, the seat lifts your legs off the floor. In this chair, the back reclines, but the seat stays horizontal and doesn't move with the back, and the angle of reclination remains where you set it. This arrangement provides a more comfortable seating position. The arms of this chair are made of thick plastic anchored at each end. While they don't adjust up and down, they're stronger than an adjustable arm. My wife has a relatively new chair with adjustable "T" shaped arms, and one has already broken. If you want thicker arms, you can buy arm pads like gamers use. The vertical height is maintained by a hydraulic cylinder common to more expensive chairs. If the cylinder ever were to fail, it would be easily replaced. The cheap chairs have a permanent mechanism that will develop a "squeak": this chair's mechanism is different and should not begin squeaking. This chair has a fabric covering. Why is this important? Leather, faux leather, or plastic coverings are slippery, and you'll find your self sliding off the chair, or the chair will want to slide out from under you. I know because my wife's chair is like that: I had to use a belt as a makeshift "seat belt" to hold me in the chair. This chair is NOT slippery, so I don't slid off while working. The adjustment levers work easily, and the chair is very presentable in an office setting. The chair is firm, not soft; I feel like it supports me better.I'm 77 and I didn't find the chair all that hard to assemble; it took me an hour or so.
After discovering just how expensive office chairs generally are, I didn't feel confident that this chair would be comfy and actually felt a bit disappointed when ordering it. However, it is VERY comfortable. You can have the footrest out with the chair in an upright position (not pictured) and because I'm 5ft tall I can actually have my feet up under the desk. The padding is good considering the price, feels very supportive even on my achy lower back. It doesn't adjust in height that much so be sure to check it is tall enough for your desk! I was also concerned that this chair might look ugly, but honestly it is much smaller and tidier in person than it looks in photos. Its very roomy width wise, and if you're petite you might find the arm rests are spaced a bit too far apart but I have this issue in any chair.
