It's Decent

My previous travel mug broke, so I picked this one up at a huge discount, less than $10. I would say that's about what the product is worth. I would not pay the typical asking price. Overall, I like the mug. Nice to hold (after my coffee has cooled a bit), wonderful to drink out of when the lid is off (ceramic is where it's at!), easily removed lid, stable, attractive. Things that could be improved: 1. Lid Spout - not sure what it is about the spout, but don't expect to be able to comfortably get as much out as if the lid was off. My guess is the liquid spreads around the lid's silicone instead of going directly out of the hole. It's weird. 2. Because the silicone doesn't cover the entire bottom, leaving a circle, the mug suctions to the coaster I use at work. So, funny when I go to drink out of it and there's a coaster attached to the bottom. Yes, the mug gets too hot to hold RIGHT AFTER pouring hot liquid in it, but if you wait 20-30 seconds it's cool enough. This is actually a bonus in the wintertime! Bottom line, if you can find it at a deep discount like I did, go for it.

What is the point of this expensive mug

I bought the mug believing it would keep my coffee warm enough to drink for at least a couple of hours. Of course it didn't. Within 90 mins the coffee was stone cold, and the lid so weak the coffee came out when the mug was knocked over. I cannot see the point of paying £30 for something that's little better than a Coffee Shop take out mug, Very disappointed and what a waste of my money. I suggest the information about this mugs limitations are printed on the box it comes in, a well as your web site. If it had been I would have bought an insulated type.

Cute but design flaws

The design is cute and I love the ceramic combo, however, the cup design isn’t sturdy. The lid doesn’t seal tight and the cup tips over easily. The slightest bump or nudge to the cup will knock the cup over and lid falls off easily. I’ve had plenty of travel mugs and they’re much sturdier. I’ve spilled my entire coffee multiple times with this mug, which is mot normal. The bottom of the cup is round instead of flat. The silicone has no grip to prevent tilting either. The lid doesn’t secure tight. Needs improvements to be a reliable traveler mug.

quality control needs to be examined

I really love these mugs WHEN THEY'RE MADE CORRECTLY. I have ordered 5 different colors (with 7 deliveries) and only 3 were manufactured correctly. I sent 4 back and they still came with the lid offset and loose leading to dripping. I also was unable to speak to a person and only got a form email. I've read many reviews that also complained. The person high up in the organization needs to be alerted that the quality control is not superior.

Don’t buy! Doesn’t keep hot drinks hot!

This mug is a joke, it literally only keeps a piping hot coffee hot for only about 5 minutes, in fact the ceramic cools you hot drink. Even if I heat the ceramic beforehand it can’t keep a drink hot. Company wouldn’t refund or offer me a replacement. Also the top leaks coffee out, what a mess! Have other porters and love but not buying anymore because of customer service. Would give zero!

Cute but limited insulation

Nice size and cute but doesn't hold heat well (silicone by itself is not very insulating). The ceramic itself hold heat but as this is a small mug, it cools quickly. The lid is spill resistant but not a tight seal. It prevents splashes but not spills. I like that it is microwave safe however. I bought two simply for the size and cute factor but won't by more.

Beautifully made, a GREAT color, and more functional than any other travel mug out there

I searched high and low for a double-walled ceramic travel mug with a silicone sleeve. I wanted something I could reheat in the microwave if necessary (so not metal), throw in the dishwasher (so not crazy delicate) and love to look at. I’d never heard of w&p but google brought me here, and now I’m impressed. I love the quality, design, and functionality of their pieces and will definitely buy a few more to round out my kitchen. It feels good to leave single-use stuff behind, but it feels even better to do that with beautiful, durable pieces.

Hearty mug, but lid needs work

The mug is great quality. Happy with the size and feel. Fits nicely in a car cup holder. The lid is not a tight seal. If you have and liquid in the cup and the mug tips over the lid falls off. Also, when the slider is closed I still had a lot of liquid coming through. It also snapped abruptly when closing so every time i closed it the liquid residue in that area would spray.

Not Insulated

I can attribute some of my disappointment to my own reading comprehension, but I am quite disappointed that this mug is not insulated. The other mugs I own from W&P are all insulated and do a good job regulating beverage temperature so I suppose I assumed this one would too. This mug is beautiful, but it does not keep anything warm nor cold. Defeats the purpose for me personally.

Not ment for hot beverages

HONEST REVIEW: I got super excited when I saw these in the store because I've been wanting one for a while. I bought two of them, I hand washed them when I got home, and had them ready to use for the next morning. I made some coffee straight from my Nespresso into the mug, with a splash of hot water for an Americano. When it was finished I placed the lid on it, grabbed it, and took off to my car. By the time I got to my car the mug became so hot that it was extremely hard to hold and it burnt my hand. On the way to work the lid didn’t not stay secure, and the coffee would come of of the top of the lid even though it was closed. By the time I got to work (20 min drive) the cup was still extremely hot but the coffee was not and when I went to take a sip it burnt my lips because the edge is ceramic. I am super sad but I will be returning these mugs and pay extra for the traveling yetti.

Beautiful but very delicate

I like the concept and design very much; it’s very pretty to look at, but it was too hot to hold (I would end up holding from very top), did not keep drinks warm for very long (although longer than a typical mug if the lid is left on), leaked through lid when trying to use it, and is impossible to remove the water that catches under the silicone sleeve at the bottom where it opens up to unglazed ceramic after being washed. I think the last point is what contributes to their being easily broken (which my husband unfortunately did, not knowing it needed to be handled very carefully). But keeping the ceramic thin and unglazed is what keeps it light so if you are willing to be very gentle with it, it’s nice!

Wanted to love... but don’t

Wanted to love this! It was added to my order for buying over a certain amount of product and I’m glad I didn’t pay for it. The lid isn’t very functional, it isn’t flush with the mug so product leaks out of the rim when you sip it. Also it’s not meant to keep drinks hot or cold which is fine but the cup creates a lot of moisture on the outside after just a few minutes of having something cold in it. Overall the cup looks cute but isn’t worth the money. Needs to be more functional! Would try again if they fixed some of the design issues.

Very disappointing

This was a substandard product. It did not keep hot coffee hot - or even warm. The personalization spelled my daughter's name wrong on the mug and it was so faint you could barely see it. I asked for a refund because the item did not work and name was misspelled - customer service was very rude and dismissive. I will never order from this company again and would not recommend this product.

My Favorite Mug and Great with Keurig

Absolutely love this mug. The 16 oz is a perfect size for running the 12 oz selection on a Keurig. It allows enough room for cream. (12 oz mug is too small for 12 oz on Keurig even without cream) It fits perfect under the Keurig supreme without having to remove the drip tray. I love the feel of the mug and its weight. Keeps my coffee warm. I can use it with or without the lid.

Doesn't Keep Drink Warm

The mug is so attractive and the silicone sleeve makes it comfortable to hold. However, I purchased this under the assumption that it would work as a travel mug and hold heat. It doesn't hold any heat. All of the heat escapes the mug and makes the silicone sleeve hot to hold. The to-go/travel lid made me think it was meant for taking a warm drink with me. My coffee is luke warm within 5 minutes of my drive to work. I have two YETI travel mugs that keep my drinks warm throughout the morning. If holding heat is what you need do not buy this mug.

It’s cute, but some things are off

I purchased mainly because I thought it looked cute. I found out later that it doesn’t insulate which was disappointing, but that’s on me for not reading the description. It gets very very hot to the touch with a hot drink inside regardless of the silicone sleeve. The top of the sleeve is unevenly cut which isn’t as nice to look at. It also seems like moisture getting into the sleeve may turn out to be a mold problem in the long run. Lastly, the color of the lid does not match the color of the top of the mug, and it would look a lot better if the colors were the same. Overall, I had higher expectations for the appearance and functionality of this. I would recommend sticking with a trusted insulated tumbler and don’t just buy for the aesthetics.

Cracked, lid leaks

I really wanted to love these, but mine cracked after falling over on its side on the counter. W&P offered me 25% off my next full priced purchase, but I’m not willing to put more money into a product that’s so fragile. I get that it’s ceramic, if I had dropped it and it cracked I would understand, but literally this mug fell over lightly on its side and is now useless to me. It’s too bad, because they’re beautifully designed, and seemed like a great option for a fully ceramic travel mug. They look and feel great. But overall their practical usage has not lived up to their looks. On top of the fragility and W&P’s unwillingness to refund or replace the mug, the lid is not great to drink from. It is consistently blocked by a bubble that occurs when you fill the mug, which means the lid causes small leaks and spills every time you sip from it.

Misleading description

Although this mug is very cute, the description is inaccurate and it does not have functionality. They provide warning, but the mug is truly too hot to hold if you have a hot drink. Additionally, the lid is NOT splash or leak proof. It will splash out with the slightest movement. Additionally, I caution anyone pouring in a hot beverage. My mug cracked in multiple places when the hot drink was poured in. After using for only one month, this mug is basically useless as it spills and is cracked. So much for durable ceramic.

Ordering from Canada or Internation

I ordered from Canada. Pros - my order arrived quickly. Cons - I had to pay duty upon arrival. The coffee mug didn't have nice alignment between the terrazzo silicone and the rim. The silicone on one side overlapped with the rim. As this is a pretty expensive purchase (in CAD) and a high quality product I was expecting it to be really good quality. I inquired about exchanging it, but they said it was the nature of the terrazzo silicone, and if returning from Canada I'd have to pay shipping costs for the exchange (and probably duty again). The mug is pretty nice (it's a tad heavy and doesn't fit in the cup holder in the car), but I wouldn't order online again from w&p, as I feel like they shipped out a product that wasn't up to quality standard. If you can look for them in store and check to make sure the mug looks nice before purchasing.

Coffee Cooler

This cools coffee rather than keeps it hot. I’ve never had a ceramic “to go” mug before but honestly you’re better off just using one of your ceramic mugs from the cabinet. The heat from the coffee is instantly absorbed into the ceramic mug. The silicone sleeve does nothing for insulation. Since there’s no handle it’s too hot to grab until the coffee cools to a point where it’s too cold to enjoy. Maybe this would be a good option for you cold brew people out there but definitely not a good idea for your standard cup of joe.
