Great bit of kit.

This is an excellent paint gun set. I was looking for a paint-gun for use at home to paint gyprock walls, cornice and cement board ceilings, doors, trims etc, basically, anything so I didn't need to use a brush or roller. I previously had an Ozito handyman paint-gun that was rather useless (good for basic paint application, but you needed to brush over the applied paint after to smooth it out, defeating the purpose of using a gun). When I first started using the Wagner large paint gun to apply the paint, it took me about 30 seconds to get it dialled in for airflow/paint flow/jet width. It works very well even when used at angles for ceilings/cornice and low parts, as well as straight-on application. I will admit, I have had a lot of experience with paint/stain/epoxy application, as I come from working in the building trade, self employed for decades, thats the only reason it took me no time to get the hang of. Couple of pieces of advice, before using the gun, make sure you cover everything you dont want to risk getting overspray on (the gun isnt bad for it, but it will save you cleanup time after). If you do have overspray, wipe off immediately after it happens (stop spraying, wipe off), or you can use acetone to remove the overspray a bit later if it has dried. Make sure if you are using plastic cover sheets, you have the sheets well secured with tape as the gun has a constant jet of air from the front as soon as you turn it on, and has a strong suction from the rear air intake as part of its operation. If the plastic isn't secured, it WILL fly around and be a nuisance. When you use paint, add 'Flood FLOETROL Acrylic paint and stain conditioner' to your acrylic paint for a better wet edge, better drying and smoother finish, or use other spirit/diluters as per product make-up. Acrylic Floetrol/acetone etc can be bought from bunnings as well, in the paint section. Wear a mask as you will breathe in paint if you dont. Wear eye protection and cover your hair and body parts you dont want to get paint on. Clean well after use (a toothbrush works well for the hard to scrub areas), and if there is some acrylic paint/paint spray you cant get off with water, use a cloth with acetone on it to get the residue away.. All-in-all, a great piece of kit to have.

10/10 Recommend

I spent a long time reviewing paint sprayers and it seemed like although this would do the job, it still didn't have raving reviews. However, I have nothing but praise for this. I have sprayed doors, trims, walls, fences, cabinet interiors and all and it has been a life saver. There's been a few panicked times that it's splattered a fair bit but there's nothing like wiping it off and trying it again after giving it an extra clean. Cleaning it well is detrimental, however it is really simple to pull apart and clean the inside. Although it should be cleaned straight away, I've left it for hours sometimes with paint still in there and after cleaning the nozzle is goes again just fine (with an extra deep clean at the end of the day)

Great tool, easy to clean, but be careful with the little blue diaphragm

Been a good option after the earlier cheaper one I bought failed. Agree with all the reviews above, just a bummer it sounds like you cant get replacements for the little blue silicon NRV. I've ruined one so I took the one out of the spare gun.

Make life easier and efficient

Bought a couple weeks ago and can say it does the job as I use it for small projects like for custom birthday keys and plaques. Very easy to use and also very easy to clean and to store paint without having to tip in back into its original containers (after head and nozzle has been cleaned out of course). The detachable nozzle and cup is also very handy which I will be buying more to store different colors of paint to sit permanently into the cups.. I see alot of negative reviews and just want to say if you clean and use the tool properly then you won't have an issue. This has made my jobs much easier and quicker.

Exceeded my expectations

Purchased this especially to paint a fence....and it certainly exceeded expectations. I have done a lot of spray painting and generally was not a fan of this type of sprayer, but I have a very different opinion now. Sprayed acrylic paint undiluted and it worked a treat. Played a bit with the two controls, flow and paint volume for the best results, turned out great. Easy to clean up...added bonus.

Great product for home projects.

I have only used the detail finish nozzle for a few furniture pieces, but it has worked extremely well. Very satisfied with the final finish.

Works amazing!

Used this sprayer for spraying spar varnish on a bunch of exterior planters I'd made. I cut the spar varnish 20% and it sprayed like a dream after a bit of adjustment. No regrets buying this.

What can't I spray?!?!

This is a life changing tool. I started with about 1500 sqft of fence and since then im doing decks, chairs, rails, concrete steps. Everything. I've even thought about spraying the dog lol. So much better and faster than a roller, especially good outside on fence as roller would pick up dirt and debry. Where has this been all my life!!!

Expensive junk

I had to paint my deak. I was worried about the big job of cleaning and staining the large deck. It made the job easy but over the 2 days I spent on it 2 of the guns burnt out. The big problem is the Lowe’s does not warranty it. So you have to send the bill back to get a refund. The next problem is the guns are a lot more expensive now than when I bought the gun originally. Both of the spray guns burnt out with under 5 hours on each one. I then picked up a cheep spray painted from princess auto that costed a lot less and lasted longer. I thought that by buying a big name expensive gun it would last longer and would not be a problem but not true. I will never buy overpriced junk again.

No good

Didn't even last a day. Big sprayer was leaking paint consistently even not in use and a seal/trigger was gone. Had to go through Wagner to get a refund and heard the counter say they had a few of these lately.

Disappointing Performance

One of the most disappointing products I have ever used. It failed on the first use, burning up and emitting a strong burnt plastic smell when I was 30 minutes into staining my fence. When it did work, I would have rated it a 2/5. The spray pattern was poor and it drips after the trigger is released, creating a huge mess. I spent a bit more and purchased an airless sprayer from Canadian Tire instead and am very satisfied with it.

Does not work

Bought this a month ago to do a shed and interior doors. Paint paint came out splotchy, tried every thing for adjusting and and thinned one paint but nothing seemed to work just went from splotchy to very fine mist spray and took forever to finish a door. Would’ve been faster by hand.

Paint sprayer

The Wagner paint sprayer is easy to use. Great for smaller jobs. We used to stain the fence we just built. Worked great

Useless for exterior paint

Completely useless and CT return policy is even worse. Turns the paint into snot and sprays globs of paint onto your project. Does not have enough power to actually spray exterior paint even when thinned to

Almost, but clogs too much

Gums up and does not spray evenly/consistently after a short time - requires significant clean out time to maintain minimum utility. We used top quality latex paint - perhaps the paint needs to be watered down to prevent clogging? Anyhow, when it works, it works well - but it was inconsistent.

Don't Do It!

This thing splatters paint everywhere, regardless of settings. None of the 5 star ratings below (and I am not saying there fictitious!) talk about a silky smooth finish. It can't be done with this machine (poorly designed, cheaply made plastic crap). OK for painting the back shed in the far distance, but not for painting anything you care about. Yes, Wagner have paid all the You Tubers to rave about this product, but Bunnings should put more effort into protecting the Australian consumer. Not fit for purpose and very disappointed.

Paint sprayer

Worked good. I bought it to spray baseboards and trim and a few doors and it did the job but not like a professional one would. Took some practice to getting the consistent spray. It definitely beat rolling everything.

Wouldn't buy again.

I've put about 6 gallons through it and it is faster than cutting in with a brush and rolling, but I'm not sure I like the results better. I've used automotive sprayers before and had good results but I couldn't get this to work consistently for me. Particularly difficult for trim. It can look great, but very easy to get runs if you're going for glossy finish. You also have to do a lot of prep to mask off because it throws off a lot of spatter and overspray! I'll keep it and try some stain and such for fences and crafts, but I think I'll go for a roller and brush for next interior job
