Great value; works up to 3-day beard

Typically, I use a battery-powered, multi-bladed, traditional, razor, as I am retired and a bit lazy, and don't need to shave for a long while, at least until my face starts itching! This foil shaver works well on my 1, 2, or 3-day beard, but, not so much beyond that. It isn't as easy to move as my old electric razor, which was smaller, but, it does the job with no nicks, so far! I would never use it wet, but, am disappointed that I can't use it plugged-in, dry. The pop-up trimmer needs to come out at least a half-inch higher, because, sometimes, I can't see where it is in relation to my sideburns or ear hair. Oddly, the brand new unit did not come with the cleaning brush or mineral oil, which the box and instructions say should have been there (n.b., I was curious about it, so, I e-mailed a request for information to Wahl; their e-mailed response was willing to send both items to me, but, I had ones from my previous razor, so, I declined their offer). All told, this Wahl LifeProof electric foil razor works for me, especially, when I need a quick shave, and it was a great value (n.b., I bought it during a 50% off sale).

Bought for a daily wet

Th product works and is reliable. Wahl will actually renew the lithium battery for you! The sideburn trimmer does not work as well as it should.

Great shaver

I admit I had my shaver for quite a while but in recent months the body of the shaver has become sticky, I don't know why, I have tried to clean it with washing up liquid, even resorted to metholated spirit but it is still sticky.

A great Shaver. Easy to use and leaves the face smooth. Available at a very competitive price and spare parts are also priced in a similar manner. The long life Li ion battery is a bonus. Overall, a great package.

Tough, powerful, and efficient

I used another well known brand shaver for eons and was always perfectly happy with it. Battery could get through a couple of shaves and seemed just strong enough to do the job. Then one died early and I decided to try something new. Bang. This Wahl shaver has a battery that never seems to fade and a motor than could propel a bus. Easy enough to clean and keep oiled, it gives me a smooth face without a lot of fuss. One less thing to worry about. Thanks.

well worth the money

what can i say about this product. i mean it does exactly what it says..i love the wahl foil shaver..i think its better than the other type of shaver the one with the little circles on it..i think foil shavers do a better job..hope this helps..

Very good

I have been using the product for almost a month now. The item work well and not noisy. The build is solid. It cut smoothly but you have to go many times. The battery life is good as well. The design is good but a little big.

Quality product.

This is my first foil shaver so it's taking a little getting used to. I am very satisfied with the shave. It was fully charged when I received it. It is easy to clean. Not sure how long the charge lasts but have used it several times without recharging so far.

Honest

I have been shaving with an electric razor for about 40 years. This Wahl Life Proof Foil Shaver is by far the best razor I have every used. However I can't recommend this razor because the foil will not last but a very short time. I will continue using them as long a I can return the bad one and order another one.

A well designed Razor that actually works.

This is the best Rechargeable Razor I have bought, I have usually purchased the main known makes over the years. I already owned a Wahl hair trimmer which is a great machine so I thought I would give this a chance! The shave is as close to the skin as I have ever had, it makes a noise as it trims off the hairs and goes quiet when hairs are removed. Easy to charge, easy to clean, and does a very good job of shaving.

Good electric shaver

Wahl is a good product. I used the shaver this morning to remove an overgrown beard. Very little pulling and the battery lasted for at least 30 minutes. Easy to clean. The popup trimmer was excellent.

Generally satisfied

One month since purchase and generally satisfied with the shaver. Still adjusting to the moveable head so I'm probably using several more passes over my stubble than will be necessary once I am used to it. The end product is fairly smooth. The trimmer is smaller and not as efficient as my old Wahl shaver or a Braun that I have. Have only used it dry.

A brilliant shave at a brilliant price

This shaver is made by a highly respected company who only produce quality products. It gives a really close shave and is substantially cheaper than Remington, Braun etc. It also has a five year warranty so no worries there. This is my second one and I will recommend it without hesitation. 5*

Does exactly what it says!

I bought this shaver for my husband for Christmas. I did a lot of research before choosing the Wahl Lifeproof Shaver. My husband has to shave every 2-3 days with this or it does pluck but apparently he says this is normal. It's really easy to use and clean and it gives an excellent close shave for an electric shaver. I would recommend this product.

Really good choice

My first (mains) electric shaver was bought in 1960 and my first battery powered one a few years later. I've had rotary movements and reciprocating movements and, in total, probably made by four major manufacturers and a few small independants. I can honestly say that my immediate impression on unpacking and using the Wahl has matched the very best I've had during those 60+ years of shaving.

good shaver, good price.

Shaver does a fully adequate job. The cost is quite reasonable. This shaver does not have all the "bells and whistles" that more expensive ones have, like telling you what % charge is left, and when it needs cleaning. I can figure out all by myself when to charge and clean. And I do not need a "cleaning station: for something I can do myself.

Not convinced yet if as good as previous shavers.

I can only compare this to Remington shavers I have had over the years. The Wahl shaver is very quiet & gives the impression that the motor is weak. It is very light in comparison & feels less robust than my previous shavers. I shave every day & not sure if the Wahl could cope well with several days growth. Have been tempted to use my old shaver as it still works well but will carry on with the Wahl. It certainly takes longer to shave with the Wahl but I can't really tell if it shaves as well or better than the Remington. Sometimes I think it shaves better than previous shavers but you do have to spend a bit more time going over your face to pick up hair growing at various angles.
