The surface is VERY sensitive to the slightest bit of moisture or heat. We had to buy a glass top for it. It's also a bit too high and a bit too small for 2-3 people to eat comfortably. I think it should be slightly larger and also counter height stools even feel a tad too short for this table. It's also not beautiful wood. It appears fabricated which I don't like, however, the shape, Parsons, always goes with anything, so it's safe for our purposes.
