What I wanted
Once put together, it is looking good. Directions suggest a two man operation - I did it without help and it was awkward and clumsy but I finally got it together. I did not put in the "sliding" bottom shelf because it was somewhat flimsy and the table looks fine without it. One major problem was that the holes on the underside of the top and on the legs and frame did not match up with any part of what it was supposed to screw in or mount to ? I thought of getting a friend to drill holes etc., etc but then just decided to use heavy duty wood glue (Gorilla Glue) to simply place the table top on the flat table legs and it worked perfectly. It is as sturdy as I can hope for.
Coffee table
was missing your Letter A screw & the bottom shelf flimsy like cardboard & when I put the top of coffee table on the premade holes were way off & to small
What a great product
Pierce Wood Coffee Table
The coffee table is just what we wanted for the space. The walnut finish could be more "saturated" to give it a richness. We had trouble get two of the skrews to go in, and to hold tight the table top to the frame, but no big deal.
Great purchase
Love the product!
Beautiful table
It really is a beautiful, simple table, but it was not easy to put together when it came to the top. Like another person said, once you get to that point you need to take some of the work you already did apart to do a good job. Also, the holes don’t line up when it comes to drilling the top on but my husband is a handy man and it wasn’t very difficult. I love the clean, beautifully simple look.
It's alright. Gets the job done.

Tiny bit of DIY
Overall this is a very nice table. The top is not predrilled and there are no markers on correct placement, but, with a tape measure there is absolutely no issue on getting it centered. The “newspaper rack”, however, is indeed very flimsy. I ended up cutting two pieces of 3/4” plywood 11 3/8” long and joining them to the bottom rails as struts with pocket holes. It’s plenty sturdy now and doubles nicely as movie and video game storage. The entire thing is made of real wood except for the bottom tray which seems to be Masonite. Overall, with a tiny bit of know how, this table is superb.
would not buy again
it's an okay table but the instructions are alien and once the base/legs are together, there are NO holes in the table top to match the base to attach the 2 pieces. I had to screw through it myself which in turn ruined the table that I paid $100.00 for. would not recommend!
it's not leveled!
once we put it together .its wobbly nails and screws are in place but one leg seems to have an inch or 2 in difference.
doesnt match up
The rails are easy enough to put together. The top is not the same color and there are predrilled holes in all 4 corners that have been filled in. There is no place to attach the top with the small screws they sent. No marks to line the top up before drilling into the rail and through the top. One miss and you have cracked the rail. What are all the other predrilled holes for? And no, there is no way to put the rails on wrong. Good reason it was so cheap. I'll assume the top wasn't supposed to be used for the rails and legs.
Previous review is correct - the top board does not have any way to connect to the base. I did not want to guess where they wanted me to place it. Do not but.
Very poor quality
The table top was very curved, so that there were gaps. There were holes where there weren't supposed to be and vice versa. Not possible to put together.
coffee table review
the stain did not match up and it did have a scratch line on the same side
We ordered this table for a vacation rental property....
We ordered this table for a vacation rental property. We bought it at home, took it to the property in another state and assembled it there. The basics of this table are very nice. The legs and top are made from solid wood and look good (although the color is much lighter than it appears in the photos). However, the shelf is cheap masonite, that looks and feels like cardboard--very thin and flimsy. I don't understand why they would make some of the table so nice and then ruin it with such a cheap part. However, the biggest problem was that the drilled holes and hardware included to attach the top to the legs were useless. The holes were not in the right place (not even remotely like the diagram in the directions), and the screws were too tiny to do anything with. There were holes drilled in the top that looked like what was shown in the directions for attaching it to the frame, but they were nowhere near the frame itself (at least six inches out from the frame on each end). It appeared as if the top and the frame belonged to two different tables. We lacked the proper tools to drill new holes to try and attach the top. Once assembled, it wouldn't fit in our car to take back home, so we had to donate it to a thrift store. The Habitat for Humanity store wouldn't even take it because it lacked the proper hardware to attach the top, so we had trouble even giving it away. I would NOT recommend this table. It's too bad because it has the potential to be a nice product. I don't understand why HD sells things that are improperly made and impossible to assemble. A waste of money!
Holes drilled in wrong places
This table would have been great if holes in the table top and the pieces it's supposed to connect to were drilled in the right places. Based on the diagram instructions, holes were drilled in the wrong places and some holes were missing altogether. We ended up having to figure out another way to connect the table top because we weren't going to disassemble over 1 hour of work (connecting the table top is the last step). The quality of the wood itself is decent.
Beautiful except the display shelf is cardboard!!!!
Better than in picture except for shelf. Will probably get wood one made or maybe glass. It seriously couldn't have cost much more to make it wood and would have happy to pay increase in cost
Simple, sturdy, good looking couch.
The quality is good for the price. Nice wood and sturdy frame.
