Sdeboard

The style is good and quite functional in a small area. The construction is mostly wood with thin particle board laminate sides. Unlike the photo, it is very reddish in colour, consequently the poorer review. We find it necessary to hire someone to refinish it in the proper colour so it is becoming an expensive, poorly constructed sideboard. If you are happy with the reddish colour, then it may be good value for you.

Good Value for the Money

What you must keep in mind is that you are not purchasing a $1000 unit and rate accordingly. The negative comments I read on-line were 1. Poorly packed, 2. Very hard to assemble, 3. Cheap quality. My experience is as follows:

Nice

Overall love it and the quality. Would of been easier to put together if the pieces were labeled instead you had to study the pieces to the instructions.

Disappointing

Returning. Very disappointed with the poor quality. Wasted a lot of time putting together and there were issues that made it clear that it would not be a sturdy piece of furniture.

Nice table, just as pictured

This buffet is quite nice once you get it put together (which does take some effort). Some of the materials feel a bit cheap when assembling (like the panel backing), but not in a way anyone using the buffet would notice after everything is put together. Everything lined up really well once all the screws were tightened.

Absolutely love this item. Great price, great construction, arrived in excellent condition and easy to put together. Looks great in our kitchen and the cabinets hide "stuff" that used to sit out on our table, but still provides easy access when needed. Great buy!

It's stylish, color fits my home. I find manual is very detail, it's not difficult to put together. But the quality is low, some board edges and corners are delaminated. There are some scratch on frame too.

Good value

I liked the look of this buffet table from the image online, and the dimensions are perfect for the space that I have. It took over a week for the flat pack to be delivered. I am 5'2 and 110lbs, so I had to open the box and bring in the pieces a few at a time. The instruction manual labels each piece A, B, C etc. but there are no labels on the actual pieces, so I had to figure it out based on the pictures. I am quite experienced at putting together flat packs, so this piece took me about 2.5 hours on my own. I had help to lift it upright when complete though. The instructions were not 100% clear. One of the steps you basically have to insert the screw and use the allen key by feel because it's hard to see, but it's completely do-able. There are patches where the laminate is a bit worn off, but you get what you pay for.

This item was exactly what I was looking for. Offers great storage without taking up too much room. Received the item quickly after ordered and all arrived in good condition.

Decent Buffet

Great color and easy to assemble but the tap came with some dings and scratches and some of the finishing on other things has already started to wear off and we have had it not even a week. If you can take care to keep children and pets away then this will last for you. Not sure if it will for us.

Very pleased with this table, especially for the price. My husband put it together in less than an hour and it looks exactly like the picture. Took a chance ordering online, but it matches our dining room set perfectly

This piece of furniture .......

.....is the 9th bought from Overstock. As all the other pieces this one also came on time and in perfect condition. Not a single defect due to packing. One piece of hardware was defective and was PROMPTLY sent to us by the manufacturer. The assembly was easy and even enjoyable. We are very happy with this purchase which looks great int the alcove it was meant for. Buy it without fear.

Pros and cons

The pros--I really liked the style and size of this sideboard. I looked for a long time to find something that fit my smaller room that had adequate storage. And it is real wood, not composite press board, and pretty solid. The cons--it was more difficult to put together than it needed to be, mostly because pieces are similar and not marked. And a number of the surfaces were flawed. Not a deal breaker at this price, but a little disappointing.

Love the design

Love the look. The color. The design. Assembly was a little difficult but not as impossible as others have stated. No re drilling holes. Etc. would've been easier if pieces were marked.

simple and elegant !!!

Simple but elegant and it's real wood !!! Wish the price is lower so I can proudly show it to my friends and family... WIll be very functional for every event that I will have... size is just right for my place... the height, width, and depth is perfect size.. Even the colour...

poor assembly design

My wife wanted this cabinet for our coffee bar in our house. I read all the reviews and noticed that a lot of people were remarking on how difficult it was to assemble. THEY WEREN'T LYING. This piece is very poorly designed. Most of the pre drilled holes for the screws were not measured correctly. It was nearly impossible to get a few of the pieces together. The screws were not long enough, the directions were in the wrong order. I had to use several of my own bolts and screws the put this cabinet together. It is a beautiful piece now that it is finished, but really isn't worth it because of the incredibly poor assembly design and instructions.

Buy it!!! Won't regret it

It's a beautiful piece. It's sturdy. I was able to carry it and put it together myself. What would have been helpful is the parts were labeled or had a sticker to match the manual. Great for a traditional or country style design.
