[Rewarded Review] Simply Conserve is an 4" LED retrofit recessed light!

The Simply Conserve, model # L59DL42750DAJ-1, is an excellent 4” retrofit recessed downlight for existing ceiling mounted electrical can light fixtures. This light fixture has everything you need to convert the older style incandescent recessed bulb fixture to a cool running temperature, energy efficient and modern looking LED (Light Emitting Diode) light fixture. Simply unscrew and remove the incandescent light bulb from the recess ceiling light fixture and then screw in the standard E26 electrical adapter (included) into the light socket. Then, gently push up and engage the 3 spring mounting clips into the existing recessed ceiling electrical fixture to install the new 4” LED fixture. This new light fixture has a nice smooth matte white trim finish and a white foam washer around the base of the unit which helps air seal the new light LED light fixture to the electrical can enclosure. This unit has a three-position switch to select 5/7/9-watt usage, which corresponds to 450/550/650 lumens of light brightness and a 3-position switch to select the 2700K/3500K/ 5000K color temperature of the LED light which all impact on tremendous electrical cost savings per year and therefore, this LED light fixture is ENERGY STAR rated! This retrofit light fixture is dimmable, when using a newer type of compatible electronic dimmer, it has a rating of 50,000 hours of light expectancy and is covered by a manufacturer’s 5-year warranty. The LED light fixture has been reviewed and UL Listed by UL (Underwriters Laboratory), an independent test laboratory, for electrical safety. Simple and complete installation instructions are provided by the manufacturer. [Rewarded Review] Great update for older can lights !

Thought these would be good to replace a couple ugly lights I have now. The fact u can hardwire or use existing socket is a plus. Instructions are precise. The wires connectors and other things needed are in the box. These come in a 4 pack ! Definitely a good value especially if you want to replace more than one light. I did one and plan to replace a couple others. Really updates the room gives it a bright light and fashionable too. Be sure to flip main breaker off before swapping out your light(s) !

[Rewarded Review] Seals recessed opening, wattage and color temperature are adjustable

Recessed BR30 enclosures in my house were probably saw originally incandescent bulbs. Incandescent BR30s dissipated anywhere from 40W to 100W of thermal power back in time when photons were generated by shorting electrical circuits with vanadium filament suspended in vacuum. Incandescent bulbs simply required venting to stay cool. Light emitting diodes or LEDs consume 9-10 times less power than incandescent bulbs for the same amount of luminance. Almost nothing is dissipated as heat. Hence no need to vent hot air into attic or space between floors. While LED BR30 bulbs saves electricity they waste heating energy due convection of room air through gaps between BR30 and enclosure. This retrofit solves that. It has foam washer to seal the opening in enclosure. Bulb adapter is included. There are 2 slider switches on the back to adjust power from 5w to 9w and color temperature from 2700K to 5000K. So you can perfectly match the rest of BR30 bulbs by power and color temperature.

[Rewarded Review] Easy install

Already installed some recessed lighting housing during my basement remodel but have been on the lookout for some good bulbs. I'm glad I came across these because you can adjust the brightness and the color temperature for each bulb. Some spaces (such as closets) you may want to use a lower wattage and other spaces you may want it brighter. Very easy install, Just screw in like a light bulb. Simple change to save money on your electric bill.

[Rewarded Review] 4-inch Wattage and CCT Selectable and Dimmable Recessed LED light

This is a 4-inch dimmable recessed LED light. Although there is a disclaimer on the package stating it may not be compatible with all dimmers, it worked fine with the Lutron Maestro dimmer in our house. It also contains 2 switches that adjusts the input power and color temperature. This light is designed for new construction, remodel or retrofit projects. It is rated for both residential and commercial applications.

I am unfamiliar with this brand, and haven't had an opportunity to install it, so my review will be limited. Be aware that this light requires a recessed can of certain dimensions, which are detailed in the installation guide for this product. The light itself weighs next to nothing, and it has two field-adjustable switches - one for "wattage/lumens" of 5W/450L, 7W/550L, or 9W/650L, and the other for "temperature" of 2700K, 3000K, 3500K, 4000K, or 5000K.
