TV Riser

This was my 5th tv riser that I tried for my son’s television at college. It not only got the base of the tv perfect but he also has room to store his laptop as well!!

Height does not equal clearance

There is a one inch support panel not visible in the pictures that renders the actual clearance about 4 1/2 inches. Good luck fitting an amp underneath the thing.

Just what I needed

TV riser has a small support bar underneath the top that reduces the height of available storage space underneath by about an inch, which seems to be typical of these risers. It is pretty easy to assemble--you will need a screwdriver. One part was defective and the company shipped me a new one, which I very much appreciate. I'm glad I bought it, it organizes the components very neatly and looks good. It's durable enough for the purpose.

Perfect Item!!

Exactly what I was looking for. Only downside is that it arrives disassembled, but thankfully my boyfriend put it together for me (and it appeared to be easy enough). Item was larger than I expected, but it is still perfect. I was looking for something exactly like this as my cat has been laying on my cable box and I believe that there were two occasions where she had thrown up on the cable box disabling the box and causing me to replace the box twice. With this item, she is not able to lay on the cable box and the cable box is also protected if she throws up.

Inexpensive solution for limited space

Have bought 2 of these in black from WalMart. Each arrived at the local store for pickup quickly and in good condition. I used one so the WiiU would store underneath a 50" TV on a corner stand. The second supports my mother-in-law's 42" TV and the cable box goes neatly underneath freeing up space on the dresser top in the bedroom. Easy to assemble. You need a screwdriver (#2 Phillips tip works best) for the locking cams. If you don't have strong fingers, you will also want pliers to snug up the studs that the cams lock onto. A utility knife is helpful for opening the packaging. Should take 30 minutes or less. Fit and finish is good and these are easy on the budget. Highly recommend.

TV Riser

This item is just what I needed to set up my system. My problem was being able to buy this item. Why don't they just have them in the store. I couldn't even order one and have it delivered to my address from another source. I had to order from Walmart and then wait for it and make a special trip in to get it. It is 3 boards and a handful of connectors that needs to be assembled. Very easy and not heavy at all.

Perfect

Used this to place my 40 inch TV and both my DVD player and cable box below it on my bedroom chest, even with the support bar that extends underneath the shelf. The inside dimensions of the open area below the shelf, where you can place your electronics, are as follows: 22 1/4 inches in length and 4 13/16 inches height, except that the support bar extends 1 1/4 inches from the top giving you about 3 1/2 inches in usable height from the front to 7 1/2 inches deep. Was fairly easy to put together and would purchase again.

Perfect solution

Have a tv with a Bose speaker underneath. Got a set top cable box & needed to be able to place it nearby. This riser a perfect solution. Easy to set up& it looks decent . Our tv weighs 18lbs & Bose speaker is 11 lbs. so it seems to be able to support some weight. It has a middle support bar underneath so space under is about 3 1/2 inches

Great riser

One of the best purchases I have made lately. The price is very low, the quality is very high. To assemble it the only requirement is a screwdriver (not provided) and 15 minutes of not-hard work. The instructions are perfectly clear, the fit is exact. Once put together it stands very firm and supports weights without any bending. This is a great product, and a great value. I am surprised that such a quality product exists that costs less than $30.

Used to raise a TV up on a TV Entertainment Center

This monitor riser worked perfect to raise up my 55" TV and there was just enough room for my center speaker to sit under it. This item is built very sturdy and this is the first time where I have seen recessed plastic threaded holes for the pin and turn lock system. I am very happy with it! I plan on purchasing another one to raise my computer monitor; as I am tired of looking downwards.

Extremely disappointed, not in quality of product which is excellent, but in wrong size for my use. In the picture it appears slightly larger than VCR. However, when product was put together it was huge with almost 6 inches of space on either side of VCR and did not fit appropriately on TV stand. That is why I would not recommend and gave it only 3 stars. Had it been the appropriate size it would have gotten 5 stars.

Sturdy but came with defective hardware

After reading great reviews for this item on walmart.com I placed my order. Originally found this on Amazon.com but it was out of stock (and a bit more expensive). The stand is made of sturdy wood (wood product) and has the visible edges finished. But two of the inset screws were bent to almost a 45 degree angle. Both were useless for installation. Rather then return the item I put it together without the two screws that provide a lock to other pieces. While it's not as sturdy without those two locks I hope the glue/dowels will hold the unit together. Have a 32" flat screen on the stand. If it didn't have the center support underneath it definitely would have been returned. If you aren't handy at putting things together this unit might not be for you. Instructions aren't step by step and you have to rely only on your own common sense and a few basic line drawings. The price for this stand was very reasonable compared to other similar items found online. Overall I can only give this stand a 3 star rating. On a positive note, shipping from Walmart.com was extremely fast!

Easy and functional

I got this to lift my 42" flat screen TV a few inches as it sits in an entertainment center meant for tube TV's. I had a 35" tube in there before. When I put my Vizio in there, it seemed a bit low. This item was cheap, looks nice, and goes together quickly with only a screwdriver. It has room beneath for a slim device. The height it reduced by a horizontal support that is needed to keep the flat top from flexing under the weight. Be sure to use the provided glue on the wood pegs when you put it together.

perfect for me!

A previous reviewer had a negative comment about the size but the dimensions are clearly stated and are accurate. This item is lovely and was easy to put together even for a "girl" with limited tool box. (all you need is a screwdriver)-Everything else was provided including the glue for a few wooden dowels. I wanted something small, sleek and neutral just to raise my flat screen above the box so it would have ventilation standing on my dresser. I love that there are no "bells and whistles" - no contrasting trim or metal accents. Considering tax and shipping thought it could have been priced just a little less that's why value just got 3 stars on rating.
