Not as expected

Just received and put this together last night. It’s a decent size, but the poles aren’t as thick or sturdy as we assumed. The canopy color isn’t tan or beige and white, it’s super thin and hard to shift up and down. The material isn’t canopy at all, we are now looking at how to replace with a decent outdoor material. Definitely is expensive for the quality. I don’t see it lasting more than a year at most. I definitely recommend spending a little extra to get better quality.

Lightweight semi- sheer fabric canopy!

Steel frame is sturdy. Canopy sucks. It is ivory not beige. It is more like a semi-sheer curtain and lightweight! With just a little bit of wind, the canopy does not stay put! I am using magnets to try to hold the canopy into place as best as I can! it Also, used twine to tie the one side down to hold the supporting fabric bar down!

Durable

Very happy with mine. Make sure at least two are available for easy, but lengthy set up. I was pleasantly surprised by the sturdiness, durability and good quality. I rated 4 stars as canopy fabric could be of higher gauge.

It fit perfectly in our space. We did bolt it down to the concrete for more stability.

Poor quality & fabric blows off.

I'm very disappointed in this shade structure. I ordered two and putting them together was fine. I had to get help to erect them. The shades blow all wonky & pull off the poles with every breeze. I've had to order tarp clamps to help & will be putting grommets in. We had rain today & water collects in big pools in the fabric, so will need to put grommet holes for drainage. No good to have waterproof fabric with a design that doesn't drain off. I'd return them because it was a big expense for me, but I'm not up to taking them down again. I really needed good shade & had high hopes. Probably will need to make my own shades after this cloth falls apart. The metal is cheesy & I'm not sure how long it will hold up. My intention was to get something that would last. The price was not right, even at blowout pricing. Pictures shown are rain water pooling in fabric & after & put tarp clamps on & straightened fabric. Fabric still blows, but not as bad. A partial refund would be fair on this.

Happy I Purchased

So far I love it! I don't know how long it will last but for the price if I get 2 or 3 years out of it I'll be happy. I put it together by myself in 4hrs. The instructions were clear and easy to follow I did use a socket wrench since the little wrench they give you is kind of uncomfortable to use. I'd love it if the fabric was more opaque to block the sun more and there was 3rd bar in the middle to weave the fabric under to help with the wind blowing the top up but again for the price it's wonderful.

Easy to assemble, took my husband and I about two and half hours. Would highly recommend.

Twisted

The cover was worthless. It blew into an impossible twisted mess several times. Was a wrestling match to get it straightened out, only to do it all over again. The from is okay so far but not made of study materials. We purchased a better quality cover, which improved it very much. The winds were not high just a light breeze was the needed to twist it up. Didn't like the split top at all.

Decent but a little disappointing

Ehhhhh. You get what you pay for. It's nice enough. The squared off look is not particularly aesthetic. My husband and I will probably end up spending a chunk of extra change to get the panels not to spread in the slightest breeze and to enhance the look and functionality a bit. It does make me more comfortable going outside onto our very exposed deck, so I do appreciate that. Seems sturdy enough, but ours hasn't weathered anything yet. It took 2 of us somewhere around 2-2.5 hours to put together.

Nice addition to the deck we built for my parents. Very spacious and provides excellent shade and privacy. Only complaint is it does accumulate water. But it easily pulls to relieve.

Mostly good but not private.

I like my gazebo except that I have discovered when the wind blows, the panels separate and do not provide the privacy I was looking for. Are there any clips available that would hold them together? Easy to set up with 2 people, even though the directions said 4-5 needed.

Still have yet to receive

Although this is not GDF’s fault, it has been 5 weeks since my pergola has shipped, It has been lost by Fedex. They have asked me to tell GDF to file a claim and hopefully, re-ship another unit to me. Thank you

Bought this 2 years ago now and it has held up very well. Fabric can be washed when soiled, metal frame is sturdy and has no rust. Gives enough shade to protect from the sun but open enough where you don't feel closed in like you do with a standard zip up gazebo. Highly recommend.

Works good

Definitely tie the strings to the posts right. This will catch wind the fabric will move a lot. But the frame didn’t move a bit which is good wish the polls for the cover stayed in the cover better maybe Velcro will help
