Motion Sensor
I kinda figured I'd be waving my hand for the light to come back on , but you know what ? I've gotten used to that , if the light turns off , hey , I'm saving $ (Money) %26 yes , I do work part time for Walmart .
You be the judge
Ordered two. after three weeks only one is working. You be the judge
Never goes off!
I've placed the unit I have in 3 different light sockets with a good bulb and it has never worked correctly. It is constantly on! Even in an empty closet. The light has never gone off. The instructions say it will go off after 10 minutes when there is no motion. I have left it in an empty room for 10 hours and throughout a night. The light never went off. Maybe it is a bad unit but I am looking for another manufacturer's Motion detector!

Works well. Senses motion from 30 feet away. Wished that it had a dusk to dawn feature to prevent it from allowing light to come on during the day.

I placed it in my laundry and works fine. As stated it will not work with any type of light cover/shade. The sensor must be exposed in order for it to detect motion.

Bought 5. Had to return 3 of them, as they wouldn't work in any of our outlets. Two did work - in all of them. However, one of those failed less than a month after purchase, and I don't have the receipt.
Great for Closets and Pantries.
I use this in my walk-in pantry closet - face the sensor towards the door and it works great. Allows me to grab everything I need while not having to worry about turning the switch on or off!
Well worth the price
These don't last forever, but they work perfectly for about 5 years in the humidity of a laundry room which is exactly what we need and makes it a great value. No problems/regrets - fairly priced and very reliable when you consider the expected length of service to expect.

The motion sensing light control was just what I needed. I installed it in a lamp in my finished basement. When I come in from the garage with my hands full, it turns on as soon as I enter the room. I appreciate the safety it offers rather than tripping over something in the dark. Two thumbs up.

Stop working in about a year. The package says it has a 5-year warranty, but when I contacted the manufacturer, they said they would only honor one year. And you have to mail the defective product to them at your expense. Not worth it. I won't buy this brand (Westek / AmerTac) again.

We had this for awhile before installing. Have no idea where receipt went. Doesn't turn on and doesn't turn off. Still have to use the pull string. Waste of $11.00 so I hope they take it off the market.
Does exactly what we needed
We purchased three devices, two for our garage and one for a storage room in the basement. I'm not sure the sensor picks up the full 120-degree range advertised, but when the sensor is pointed directly at the door, it works great. We love not having to fumble for a wall switch or a pull chain in these areas of the house, and would recommend them. Be aware that the sensor cannot detect motion through a shade, so these are for use only in places where you have a bare bulb with no shade or cover. There has been a time or two when we're working for longer than 10 minutes in the space and the light goes out. If we can't trigger the sensor with motion, we just pull the chain a couple times or flip the switch off and on and it resets. A minor inconvenience, but worth it!

I bought this product to use in my garage as the door opener light isn't very bright. One control is aimed to go on when the car pulls in. The other comes on when the door to the house is opened, or you walk from the car to the house door. So glad I have them.

I thought these would all be comparably the same and that I would not have to buy the more expensive one. Wrong, Several times I noticed it not activating the light as quickly as normal, then after one approximately 1 month it quit working. It would not turn on at all. In the dark.

Works fine, pretty much idiot proof. The only thing I'd like to see on these things is the ability to rotate the pickup window to point towards your expected motion area, but you can just not screw it all the way in to accomplish this desire.

I tried this item in my garage first where I wanted to use it. I wouldn't work correctly or consistently. I tried it in a bedroom just to check it out. It worked fine there. Again I tried it in the garage. Again it wouldn't work. I think maybe the light was too high in the garage. Disappointed.
Almost never works
Purchased two of these recently and one works about 60% of the time and the other about 20% of the time. I can sometimes get them to work by jumping up and down and waving my arms so the extra physical exercise is a nice side benefit. The first one I purchased several years ago works 100% of the time so it is odd that the two recently purchased are faulty...maybe they changed factories.
Works ok
I bought two and one failed out of the box. The working one works fine, but it only has a 120 degree field of view for the sensor. To point the field where you want it, you have to unscrew the assembly from the light socket until the sensor is pointed where you want it. I went with a First Alert brand for the one that failed. For a few dollars more you get 360 degree field of view for the sensor.
