We like the look of this bench and it is very sturdy. I only gave it 4 stars because it was REALLy hard to put together. Took 3 of us and it was almost comical how difficult it was.

Terrible purchase

I have assembled many things --including an elliptical--but this was impossible. There were at least 50 pieces of wood and the bottom shelf kept falling apart as I was assembling. Several pieces of the wood split. Avoid this product!

Do you like carpentry? You better! Because you get a pile of subpar lumber to assemble from scratch! Also, you may not even get the correct cap pieces, so, just make it work. This is a pile of garbage that I won't let anyone sit on.

The finished product looks nice; however, assembly was cumbersome . Too many pieces.

Very poor assembly instructions. Ordered 3 and unable to assemble them.

comes disassembled, not anything together, extremely difficult to assemble, don't waste your money, I have a pile of firewood as can't get bench and shelve assembled

Nice piece

I expected more for the price. It is a very nice bench but not as sturdy as I thought. It also required serious assembly, including having to build the seat and shelf with the slats. I followed the directions to the dot, but two of the side pieces broke in the process. Lowe's dealt well with it and I received replacement parts. Overall, it's a nice piece but overpriced in my opinion.
