I needed to attach low flow shower heads in an older home to change water service to the new owner, these adapters worked well and allowed me to do it quickly and avoid changing a working but 60 year old shower arm and the risk of it breaking off.

Saved a very expensive plumbing job.

This adapter saved me a lot of money on plumbing replacement and wall surgery. The shower head was installed over 60 years ago and the pipe in the wall was not going to budge. I was able to get the shower head off, but that fitting on the end of the pipe did not fit any modern plumbing threads and it was a female fitting. My shower head was so old that it just had the name Standard stamped on it, so it predated the better known American Standard company we know today. This adapter worked perfectly. I am very pleased with it.

Works Great

Works as advertised. I agree with other review that an additional R-16 o-ring seals the connection tight... though I only used 1 o-ring and it worked great. Since I am renting I didn't want to go through the hassle and possible plumbing issues with replacing the arm.

Use two o-rings!

This works like a charm once you get it working right. The most important thing is that you're going to need two o-rings (R-16) to get it to work right. It might come with one, I don't think mine did.

Great Product. Desperately needed!

I have searched everywhere for a ball end mount shower head. There are really none to be found. This product made my ball end shower arm a standard arm and worked great. The only problem is the included seal isn't enough. I had to add another o-ring to make it work. I am most definately pleased. Beware, there are 2 types - A Gerber and an American Standard. The Gerber is larger. My arm took the American Standard.
