There’s nothing quick about a Lowes order.

I purchased a Whirlpool Gas Range from Lowe’s for my new home and I am so very excited to start cooking on it as soon as my kitchen is completed. However I am NOT HAPPY with the conversion kit I ordered from Lowe’s. I was informed that it would be delivered quickly by FedEx. Not only did it NOT come quickly, it took over 2 weeks to FINALLY get to me, but when I opened the padded envelope it was shipped in the item wasn’t there. Oh, the little plastic baggie it was supposed to be in had the instructions in it but the baggie had a hole in it. I looked in the padded envelope but there was NOTHING. So I waited over 2 weeks for a big padded envelope of NOTHING. I had to drive from Port Townsend to Silverdale to return an envelope of NOTHING to Lowe’s to obtain a refund, of which they offered me the purchase price but not the shipping cost. Oh that made me even more unhappy and I let them know and the supervisor refunded the shipping fee also. Then, I had to find somewhere to purchase a conversion kit. Shame on you Lowes for not having someone do a quality inspection of the product before shipping an empty little plastic bag and for making me wait over 2 weeks for the empty little plastic bag.

Worked for my Whirlpool Top Lint

Recently moved from a house with natural gas to propane. For our Whirlpool with the lint screen on the top, this worked fine.

Had the part for a 15 year old dryer and,Bam!, had it in 4 days. Easy peasy, lemon sneezy. Thanks, guys!

Don’t trust what they sell you

This kit does not work on the model dryer they sold me. Now stuck with double charge for gas company to come back when I get the right piece from a not incompetent source.

Sales Associate provided incorrect part. This is used to convert natural gas to LP for a clothing dry NOT a stove per the contractor that did our conversion.

Wrong part-Whirlpool listed WGD4815EW as the correct conversion kit but it was not to be. Maybe I should not give one star because GRP did send the part I ordered but I am sure that you will send this review on to Whirlpool.

This kit does not come with the correct blocking pin. I have to go another week without a dryer. Thank you for recommending the wrong part.

DOES NOT FIT THE DRYER

I purchased the propane conversion kit that was SPECIFICALLY for my new dryer and it does not work. The blocking pin threads are too small. How am I supposed to use it? It is ridiculous that it doesn't work.

Dryer has caused tears and/or brown streaks in my clothes. I think it is the drum seal. Talked to a repairman who said my dryer is probably 12 - 15 years old based on this condition. Dryer is only 6 years old doing laundry for 2 person household. I am 57 years old and have never had a dryer cause this problem.

You ordered the wrong conversion kit for me. I had to call Whirlpool myself and then pay $50 for the correct one. So I had to lose the money for the one you ordered.

Do not order a small item with a large item

The product is fine it's the failed delivery that wasn't good. When my dryer arrived by Lowe's 3rd party delivery the conversion to propane kit was nowhere to be found. I had to reorder it and pay for shipping it to my home address. Had it been on the delivery truck as my local store said it was I would not have paid for delivery.

DON'T BUY FROM HOME DEPOT

Bought a Model MGD4500MW1 from Home Depot in February. Stress at time of purchase that dryer was to be used with propane and we were assured several times that the conversion kit was included with the dryer. Conversion kit was not included and many phone calls to store and Home Depot Corporate Customer Service they finally sent the 49572A conversion kit. The kit was incorrect; the regulator cap was wrong diameter and thread. After checking several parts site one has stated that the W1581316 kit is the correct kit. Problem is every site I check states this kit is not compatible with this model dryer. At this point I have a useless $700+ paper weight.
