I loved the light. Our Electrician put it in the next day and I am getting the level of lighting that I really love in the kitchen.

We were replacing our kitchen pantry light with basically this same one so installation was easy as bracket was already there. The little LEDs did have a glow to them as soon as they were wired before the breaker was even turned back on. The light is a bright light but not overly so.

Very bright light and easy to install!

I am no electrician but I do enjoy small diy projects. My living room ceiling is only 7' high and had a ceiling fan hanging down that almost touched my head! I took it out, put in this light and the transformation is amazing! It is very bright and lights up the whole room. I still have to patch and paint my ceiling but now at least I can see. I really like how it looks. Simple but nice.

I purchased one of these LED lights from Home Depot last summer. I found a more attractive light this month and removed the Lithonia light to install the new one and found the ceiling surface under the light was extremely hot to the touch. The light was so hot that the electrical tape installed around the electric wire nuts had softened and was no longer fully attached. The tape adhesive was almost liquid. I believe this surface mount light poses a potential fire hazard.

Needed to replace dual, circular fluorescent kitchen light. 14" fixture covered previous footprint, so for now, no repaint of the ceiling. Fixture modernized the look of an older kitchen. Provides excellent lighting . . . and I won't have to buy expensive fluorescent tubes ever again!

these are falsely advertised as "dimmable". they are not . theyflicker when using appropriate dimmer. most of the stock in the store are open boxed returns. i did not realize the defect in these until I changed to different fixtures. these only work properly on standard on/off switch. Again, these are falsely advertised as from the manufacturer as dimmable.

Brighter than I expected. That's good and bad. I knew going in that this LED light is not dim-able. It's very low profile, which is what I wanted for this ceiling. The all plastic construction seems cheap to me when assembling it, but it doesn't look cheap when mounted on the ceiling and viewed from the floor. The housing installed flat against the ceiling, but the globe cover was tilted after mounting. I had to slip in a small screw as a wedge between the housing and the globe so it wouldn't look cockeyed. An easy fix, but really!?

Installed a few weeks ago. The light output is better than the circline fluorescent fixture it replaced. It makes working in the kitchen easier. There was a small problem with the directions; the specified length of the mounting pipe was too short (I cut it to specified length to fit in a shallow box - problem). The shallow box also caused problems with the provided wirenut size. The reduced electric use and increased light are much appreciated.

I was looking for a simple, unobtrusive and functional ceiling light that was also pleasant to look at, occupied little space (my ceilings are not super high) and was economical. I bought four of these for the foyer, hall, kitchen and bedroom. This was a bit of an experiment and I was a bit doubtful as to how they would look in the bedroom and foyer. But they look and feel great in all rooms! I am very happy with them. They work great ´for seeing stuff´and my kitchen is perfectly workable now. And I use indirect lighting in my bedroom when I want more subdued lighting. They also work with LED dimmers, so I will add one to my foyer light.

Brighter and Whiter than the florescent it replaced.

I was replacing a 13" round florescent fixture with a smaller diameter T9 bulb inside a 12" T9 bulb. Home Depot's matching unit said it was the equivalent of two 100 watt incandescent bulbs. I wanted something as bright or brighter. This and another 13" round LED both seemed brighter than the florescent on display in the store, but I was concerned because this said it was the equivalent of two 75 watt incandescent bulbs and 1600 lumens, while the other said it was the equivalent of two 60 watt incandescent bulbs and 1800 lumens. Neither sounded like they'd be as bright as the florescent, but I chose this one.

Simple, clean, bright, and well made

This is the perfect closet/utlility light fixture for me. The light puts out a great deal of light and the light color temp is great for seeing colors as they actually would appear outside. It was a huge improvement over the fluorescent light fixture that was there previously. With the constant on/off cycling that is typical for a closet, incandescent and fluorescent bulbs just take a beating and quit prematurely. LEDs have no issues with cycling so I suspect the light will outlast the home.

Nice not to have to worry about changing kitchen light bulbs

The diameter of these lights is slightly larger than a dinner plate. They look small and compact on the ceiling but impart a lot of bright light. The actual lights are tiny -- there are lots of them and spread over a circuit board. I won't have to change a bulb in my kitchen until the light fails. I'm told the estimated lifespan of one of these lights is about 10 years. They're certainly brighter and more flattering than the big, bulky fluorescent lights that were there before. They're simple and plain -- the plasticky light cover goes over the circuit board and little halogen lights inside so you don't see them. They look modern, but I'd still like it if they had a glass cover instead of a plastic one.

Unacceptable Flicker

This light is very bright and was extremely easy to install. The color temperature (4000k) was too cool for our laundry room which is painted blue, but many people will find it acceptable.

Perfect for garage or laundry room

The light quality is excellent and better than from a couple of 60 Watt tungsten bulbs or a fluorescent light fixture. Very cool neutral light from the LED lights.

Perfect replacement

This was purchased for a laundry/mud room ceiling light replacement. The fixture being replaced was a larger two-lamp Lithonia fluorescent unit that was causing interference with my home automation system.

Great replacement for utility lighting

In my garage shop I decided to switch from compact fluorescent to LED lighting because I was not happy with the service life I was getting from the CFL bulbs. Contrary to the claimed service hours on the packaging, I was not getting that longevity.
