Simple design that just works

I struggled researching to find a decent quality larger humidifier that didn't have tons of bad reviews. Someone mentioned liking this model online and after taking a look at it i decided to pull the trigger. We've had it for about 3 weeks now and so far so good. It does what it's supposed to do and the build quality is such that it looks like it will last a while.

Great product and made in the USA!

I purchased this about a month ago. Ran it as the directions said. Now the whole house has remained at a wonderful 40% humidity. And it is made in the USA!!!

First Humidifier A

I've wanted/needed a humidifier for quite a while, but just didn't take time to purchase. When my fingers started cracking from the weather and my skin was getting very dry I decided it's now. I wanted one made in USA, so research led me to Vornado. It's design is nice, use is easy, am happy with purchase. Just took a bit to get used to the sound, but if it's too much I just turn off for a little while. Absolutely encourage for anyone who needs one. Thank you Vornado.

Works Great

I am starting my third year with this humidifier. I have to say it keeps my 1700 sq. ft. house at the desired humidity level, 45%.

Worked great until the fan stopped working after 4 months and I only ran it a total of 10-15 days sporadically throughout the 4 months on dry days….

It does not seem worth the price. The wick quickly grew mildew and the tanks were difficult to fill without causing a ton of water being spilled.

Seems to have stopped working

I purchased about three months ago, worked great. Now all of a sudden my hygrometer is showing low levels of humidity. Also the water is not evaporating close to the speed that it once was. Something is definitely wrong. Maybe I bought a lemon? If was fun while it lasted.

I love the size of water containers & all of the features to personalize your needs. Highly recommend.

Design is a work of art, function is perfect

I have been using this model for about 20 years. It still works perfectly and with a tablespoon of bleach to each gallon to kill any bugs, germs, etc. it’s the absolute best on the market. The design is beautiful and functional. Could easily be on display in an industrial design museum.

First humidifier was delivered broken but we returned it and the second one was perfect and works great Vornado products are our favorite brand

Quick Comfort with a Minor Caveat

Will eventually give up just after the warranty expires

I have owned two of these, well actually three. I have had one replaced post-warranty and am now working to get a second one replaced out of warranty. So, in total, I will have had four individual units. In each case, I was required to purchase a new product at 30% off because it was after the five-year warranty. The current one that recently stopped working was purchased in 2017, 7 years ago. My wish is that these last longer so they didn't have to end up in the landfill. Or, that they would take them in for repair and refurbishment rather than just sending a new unit at another $90. Longevity is the reason I purchase something made in the USA. I also purchase Vornado products because I thought they were built to last. I also own five other Vornado fans because of their warranty and service; however, I am starting to question their worth of this if I end up having to throw them away and re-purchase (even at a discount). Two of the fans stopped working but those were replaced under a lifetime warranty (which I am not sure exists anymore). I don't expect things to last forever but it would be nice if it were at least 10 years or more - or again, they had a better service program to have things repaired.

It humidifies, would recommend

I like that this humidifier is made of simple non-mechanical parts. Unless the fan messes up, there’s nothing that will fall apart. It evaporates. The fan provides good white noises; the sound of the water coming out of the jug is loud. The unit itself is of a considerable size. The jugs are sturdy and easy to refill. I wish the plastic that makes the base was sturdier. I would recommend this unit instead of alternative top options for evaporative humidifier that has mechanical parts coming in contact with the water.

This may be a repeat because it's just so great

I may have written a review in the past because this product is so good, but I want to write another one to make sure that they never stop making this and people keep buying them. It's just been such an efficient, effective product. Other humidifiers I've had have been a pain to fill or maintain, and this one is just so easy. The tanks are simplicity itself to fill and carry, and I love that it simply uses gravity or physics or whatever to keep water in the pan. I've had mine--I don't even know, maybe 5 years? Maybe more? And they are still in tip top shape. I love that you can get a subscription to purchase more filters, one less thing to have to find or mess with. I am just really, really pleased with this product.

Very good unit.

The unit does a good job of adding humidity to a large room. Very good value. Only recommendation is that it could look a little better - maybe differ colors

Works well but somewhat cumbersome

I bought this a month ago. It works well and is not noisy on medium or low speed. I wish there was some indication when the tanks are empty. The machine stays on even with no water, so it is necessary to pull out the tanks to see if they still have water. The tanks get heavy when full. Also the tanks are awkward to remove for refilling.

This unit is very quiet but effective. The large water containers were nice as I didn't have to fill it ever day. Works very quickly at adjusting the moisture level in a large ranch house.

Filling would be much easier with fill hole with screw in cover on top of water container.

Excellent Humidifier

Simple, quiet and it works great. Very impressed!

This is less troublesome and messy than the AC Infinity hose based humidifiers. I don't get condensation leaks and condensation running back into a main hose with this. This humidifiers tanks are much easier to move around leading to easier maintenance in tight quarters which is super nice. Very few parts to clean since this isn't a vaporizer. The low profile is great when you need to save space... Love it!
