There are perfect for most cabinets and drawers. They worked great on my kitchen cabinets which sit on top of the wood that makes up the cabinets themselves. I installed them on a sideboard type table which has the doors inset (not sure how else to describe that) and it makes those doors stick out a little. It helped install them a little bit further inside, but they still stick out a little. It's not a big deal for me because it doesn't stick out too much and it keeps toddlers out.

locks work great. great price for product and availability at my local store
Junk
I’ve had to replace these way too often. Breaks way too easily. Not worth it.
Loved at first!
I bought these for my in-home childcare. I absolutely loved these at first. I loved the ease of the installation, much better than other locks. Unfortunately, now most of the locks have stress marks and a few have broken off. I'd love to get a replacement set. Having a childcare business is expensive and having to replace expensive equipment is hard!
I would give these a zero if I could
These cabinet locks are TERRIBLE. I have had to replace SO many of them and for the price it is ridiculous . The little latch snaps right off of them . It is such a disappointment when you think you are purchasing a great product. Go with the inexpensive, simple affordable latches . Not these. The photo I posted is just one of the many times I have had to go through and swap out all of the broken ones.
Don't waste your money. Not reliable
Bought this for kitchen cabinets. Very easy to install but after about 3 months of use 3 of them broke. Now my baby has access to glass containers, food items(chocking hazard) and pots and pans that he pulls out and drops on his toes. This should be RECALLED
Break easily and cannot take off
We put these on most of our kitchen cabinets and our bathroom cabinets. Very hard to push down to open. After about 6 months they are all broken and I can't get them off the cabinets.
Effective and Easy to Install—Just read directions
Don’t make the mistake I did and think you can just pop these suckers on any way you’d like. They’re made cleverly to align perfectly so long as you follow installation instructions—simple to read, I just didn’t take the time with my first one! After that it was a breeze. So far my one year old hasn’t been able to yank any of the cabinets open with these locks, and the adhesive holds well(I know because I tried to remove the first one I applied incorrectly…not happening without ruining the whole lock so I let it be).
Great for babies %26 older kids with special needs
I bought these recently to keep my 7 year old who has autism out of our knife drawers (tries to make his own pb%26j with larger knives sometimes) I’m happy to report that these still work great even though he is no longer a baby. Depending on the style of drawer there may be a little bit of a clearance where he can stick his hand in there a little to grab things closer to the front. But, we avoid this by keeping the knives further back in the drawer. Great product as expected with Safety1st
could be made better
the plastic latches are gravity latches that can be shaken out if each other making them overpriced pieces of plastic with screws and adhesive. do not buy if your child/pet has a habit of shaking the doors that your trying to secure with them
So easy!
These were so easy to install and I love that you turn them off when you don’t need them
Multiple latches snapping in half after a few months of normal use
We had no problem setting these up or closing our cabinet doors. We thought they were great and we’re grateful not to have had to drill. But we have had them for a few months and in just the last few weeks, three have broken. The long piece that you press down to open the cabinet latch just snapped clean off near where it joins the piece attached to the cabinet door. We aren’t particularly rough, but these are kitchen cabinets we open several times a day. It seems like the rigid plastic can’t handle repeated flexing over time and snaps. Poor design or materials.
Very handy
This product is super easy to install to prevent your little one from getting into cabinets!
Cheap Plastic
It works great, as long as you dont use your cabinet often. Repeated use and the latch just breaks off. Going on our fourth one for one particular cabinet.
Great buy!
This is just what I needed to keep my curious little one out of the cabinets! Also love the adhesive strips, as I did not want to drill into my cabinets. Definitely will buy more for my bathrooms!
Does Not Work Properly
This item does not allow you to close the cabinet completely. It defeats the purpose. 🙃
Terrible
There is an unnecessary lip on these where the logo is that prevent any cabinet from closing fully. Unless you want your home to look sloppy this is a terrible choice.
If You Like Wasting Money, This Product's For You!
“Looking to childproof your home? Here’s a product that will make your life even MORE frustrating! After carefully reading through the instructions and looking over the box, you may notice that we don’t include any photos of drawers and cabinets closed flush. That’s because your drawers and cabinets won’t close flush! Having trouble opening the top drawer above the drawer with the latch you just installed? That’s because you can’t open it without both drawers catching on each other! Is your child’s hand bigger than three adult fingers? Then they won’t be able to get past this (probably). Did you just read the other reviews of this product and realize this is a waste of money? We were afraid of that. Return it to the store you purchased it from for your money back, guaranteed (hopefully)!” - What the Safety First Adhesive Cabinet and Drawer Latches product advertising ought to say
Weak and don't work
Not strong enough. Even if they don't rip off, they allow enough space for a toddlers arm to fit through.
Not strong enough
Not super sticky. My 18 month old was able to rip it right off.
