Might be sleeker, but it still performs like a champ.

The new one is much sleeker than the original one I had. Just love it and it's nice and sharp. Wish you would design a bin for it, so I don't have to keep it in the box. Keep up the great work Oxo.

Worth the money

The design looks complicated but is easy to use once you figure it out. The blades are sharp and churn out perfect shaped and sized vegetables. For those who like their food to look pretty as well. this product is well worth the price you pay for it. I am a fan of the Oxo brand and this is a perfect addition to my kitchen gadgets.

Just bad

It works, but not without a lot of hassle. Feel like this thing would only be worth the time if you were slicing A LOT of veggies, and in that case you'd be better off buying something better. This is very poor design. I'm frankly surprised they still sell this. The instruction manual gives no instruction on how to remove the julienne/french fry blades. Probably because they know how dangerous the bad design is, and giving the actual instruction sets up the customer to cut themself. The answer is you have to pull it upward out of the unit with force, which is extremely dangerous, so you need to drape something thick like a dishtowel over it first. Pass on this. They designed it so that you buy it, use it once or twice and then toss it in frustration.

Stained after first use

I used this to prepare carrots and celery for soup. The carrots unfortunately stained the base of it after the first use and was unable to fully get the stain out. Other than that, the mandoline itself works pretty well.

Life saver

I love it as I'm physically disabled and can't hold anything in my right hand I love this as it has a stand and it's easy to use. It cuts Potatoes so thin that you can make your own potato chip and onions slices are like the restaurants would serve with their burgers. I highly recommend this product it surpassed expectations

Perfect for meal preps, i love this.

I can’t live without it anymore, I sliced an onion in seconds, tomatoes, even pepper, carrots everything. I use to have a chopper but I end up breaking 3 so I tried this one, I slice and the chopped if I need or want, I can choose the thickness of my slices. I refrigerate the remaining in a container, I love to have my food ready all the time, easy to clean it have never rusted or break. I own it for 5 months now.

V-blade mandolin slicer

I enjoy using my OXO mandolin slicer. It is compact for storage and easy and safe to use. I really appreciate that the slicing thickness is adjustable. I recommend OXO products to friends and strangers alike because of the great design and quality.

Have had other mandolin slicers

Have had other mandolin slicers in the past but NOTHING beats my V Blade Mandolin slicer. It is my Preferred slicer. I can julienne carrots, dice onions, slice onions, potatoes and other items in seconds. They will have to pry it from my dead hands before I quit using it!

As a first time mandoline user this took some getting used to but it works quite well. I’d suggest looking up videos on how to take it apart and put it back together which is the most complicated part. It’s hard to get much done with the guard I’d suggest getting a cutting glove and carefully using that instead.

Must Have for the Fruit and Vegetable Lover

Our family loves sliced veggies and fruits and this contraption makes it easy to enjoy fresh, quick slices. I love how there are multiple options of thickness to use and the dial makes it easy to switch back and forth. A great kitchen tool!

Great slicer

This is actually a warranty item love it warranty was unbelievable. The last one I had was for four or five years and the mandolin cutter split. They gave me a new one shipped it in record time couldn't be happier. Will definitely recommend to other people.

Extremely useful, but not my favorite design.

This is the first mandoline slicer I've ever had, and I really love how useful it's been. The blade is very sharp and the "grip" is extremely good at getting as much of the food as possible sliced. It's made several of my meals much easier to cook, and more fun.

Quick and Safe!

I have never been able to fruit or vegetables safely with a knife. I can now cut food safely and securely with this mandolin. Attachments are easy to use and easy to wash. Cut time is so quick and attachments are easy to switch while keeping everything clean and safe.

Does the job

Nice clean packaging. The item is a bit larger than I was hoping for as I don’t have a lot of storage space in my kitchen. The design is pretty sleek and easy to use. Cuts cucumbers and a bit firmer veggies well. A softer tomato was a bit difficult and didn’t turn out the best. The blades tended to wear down a bit too quickly for my liking. For a device I have wanted for a while, I was kind of disappointed and will probably stick with using a knife as it’s less cleanup and easier to store.

Impressive

I don't think I've ever had an OXO product that disappointed, and this is no exception. It's well thought out, with the built in storage for all the blades. With the plastic body, no worries about rusting, although you do need to be mindful of how you care for the blades. Of course, it's very sharp and works equally well on softer items, e.g. tomatoes, as well as harder, e.g. potatoes. Even though the food holder does protect your fingers, I'm super paranoid of being cut and actually bought kitchen gloves to wear when I'm using/handling the mandoline (I had nightmares about cutting off my fingers when i bought my first knife set!), The one thing I thought could have been better was the instruction manual's section on using the julienne blades (you actually have to use two at the same time), but there were on-line videos to walk you through it.

Sharp and Easy to Use

This mandoline is pretty much all plastic but it is really durable. I think that it held up well under the pressure used for slicing. I found it very sturdy. The thickness settings are consistent and accurate. I liked the four thickness options it came with. The slicing action is smooth and effortless. I found that the food holder part was not very useful. The holder works well when slicing harder items like potatoes but is awful if you are slicing softer things like tomatoes. I didn’t use it much but was super careful because the blades are incredibly sharp. Cleanup was easy, I rinsed it under the faucet and left it to dry on my dish rack. It's a nice size and storage was fairly simple as well. Doesn't take up too much room. Overall super pleased and would recommend!

Love it !!

I’ve had my eye on one of these gadgets for a while now. I was getting tired of manually chopping peppers, onions, cucumbers etc everytime i made a meal. Which for a family of 5 is quite often. This has saved my hands. Super easy to use. I’ve been able to cut everything i have come across so far. Different sizes as well. I made crinkle cut sweat potato fired and it was The easiest thing ever to cut. Absolutely love!!
