Brush is great, brush holder is baaad

I love how sleek this brush looks. But there isn’t a proper way to let the brush holder dry out. Water collects at the bottom and drips disgusting toilet juice when it gets tipped the wrong way. Not only that but the screws at the bottom have rusted and it gets all gunky because there’s no good way to clean it or let it dry out!

Keeps the brush out of sight

My brushed chrome toilet brush turned all funny, the finish got rusty. I said no more! I'm going back to the plastic white kind. Then I saw this, the brush is hidden in it's own compartment. It's a one handed motion, you push the brush into the storage unit, the door opens, then closes, genius. Yes, it cost much more than the cheap white plastic one I was going to buy, but it looks so much better.

Leaks fecal matter after 4-5 mths when I finally noticed it - may have happened sooner

The brush is easier to use than others and pulls out put in and doesn't drip everywhere when I'm cleaning. But it's a lot more expensive that other "junky" bowl cleaners. There was literally fecal matter (sorry, folks) dripping out of the bottom onto the bathroom floor all around the "seal" at the bottom. I finally remembered to look due to being mentioned in other reviews. It's hard to imagine how in the world they're getting away with selling junk at such a high cost. My next toilet bowl cleaner will cost me $1.25, it'll probably get about the same non-quality and "value". If you buy this, though, please put plastic under it and check it periodically. It's disgusting. I'm trying to seal it with a kitchen/bath caulk. Don't know if it works yet. Tried Gorilla Glue first at the "seam" at the bottom but it expanded (as it should) into a mess as expected but it didn't seal it. If it doesn't work, both will be tossed.

Softer brush compared to others in stock

My toilet is fairly new and unscratched. So I wanted to find a brush with bristles that would be gentle on the porcelain finish. Target used to have an Up and Up model that was advertised as "not-scratching", but it is not carried anymore. Absent that, I had to check out the brushes in person. The OXO brand was the best in that respect: not too stiff or sharp. Once I got it home and tried it out, I was pleased with the performance. The brush head is the perfect size for fitting in the discharge hole in my Kohler toilet and the rounded head with dense bristles make cleaning under the rim easy. The self-closing holder/cover for this brush is an extra I didn't need, since I have the holder from a previous brush that I was replacing. So my suggestion would be to sell the brush separately at a lower price. As it is, this set is significantly more expensive than other toilet brush/holder combos.
