I bought one of these two years ago and I now can't find the replacement filter kits anywhere. They're listed in lots of places but all of them say "out of stock", including the distributor (GHP Group).

Excellent, the readings on water test on my house are now better than bottled water!

Easy install, satisfied customer, PUR model PQC3RO

Installation was easy (for plumbing). Had to make a couple adjustments - one to reuse the shutoff valve from my old RO system and the other to reuse the drain connection again from my old RO system. Not Pur’s fault, just my particular plumbing layout. Puts out about 1 1/4 gal of great tasting water when full.

Got one of these to replace a different system based on a cost basis. Installation was straightforward and required minimal common tools (see pic). Install time will vary based on level of experience but should range between 2-4 hours. Instructions provided were easy to understand. PUR has a 4-Stage and a 5-Stage RO system as well. Overall I think this system is adequate. This comes with a chrome drinking water faucet which is nice. Realize that this system is designed to filter the water specifically for a drinking water faucet and not the regular kitchen faucet water. Hence, you would need to install the included faucet (or get a different faucet if need be, in order to match existing) in order to reap the benefits. I think it's worth it to have cleaner water for drinking. We have found that this water tastes better as well. We moved to Texas and the water here is OVERLOADED with chlorine so filtration is really a necessity not necessarily a luxury. Hope this helps!

This system takes up a ton of under-sink space. I had a three filter system (non-R.O.) and this one's quite a bit larger. The filters are longer, the filter bracket is wider, and it includes a tank so make sure you have a lot of room to accommodate this.

Pur-3 stage reverse osmosis water filter system is very good for drinking water. Complete system is big make sure you have enough room under the sink I had plenty of room it connected easy with the connections that came with the unit also came with color coded lines so no mess ups. I had cloudy water before I hooked the PUR up and now crystal clear water that taste great. This will save me tons of money on bottled water and all the lugging around the cases of water. You will love it!

I ordered this reverse osmosis system to replace the several water filter pitchers in the house. The instructions are excellent, with very detailed step by step instructions which include good images. The hoses are colored and coordinate with the fittings so it’s easy to follow along. To connect to the water supply you simply disconnect the supply line and attach the fitting and reconnect the supply line. The filters just twist off and on, thus, the ‘quick connect’ name. The most difficult part of the installation is attaching the faucet to the countertop. In my case I have a granite tile countertop and so have to get a plumber to come do this last part. It will just require drilling a small hole through the granite but I don’t have the equipment for that. Overall, this seems like a well designed product that should provide years of easy and reliable use.

A fantastic low cost way to filter water in the kitchen area, been wanting one to use when making coffee and cooking. Install is about as easy as it can possibly be, the instructions are simple and easy to understand, and pur has the lines all color coded to make it goof proof.

The PUR 3-stage quick connect 20.3 GPD reverse osmosis water filtration system is great and it comes with a faucet. The system is white. The faucet is chrome. You will need an extra hole on the counter top to install the faucet. The system includes air gap faucet, 2 carbon block filters, RO membrane, pressurized storage tank, tubing and installation components. The carbon filters are recommended for replacement after 6-months of use and a pair of them cost about $60. The RO membrane can be replaced after 2 years of use, it costs $70. The installation instructions are straight forward for the connections to the water supply. Drilling the extra hole for the faucet will be some work. I'm happy with this RO system. I can taste the difference in the filtered water.

This system (by PUR) is a 3-Stage Reverse Osmosis (RO) Filtration System. Nice features include 1/under the sink installation (assuming you have the space) 2/ includes ALL the necessary color-coded water lines & and connection hardware for house water lines 3/ provides an 'air gap' water faucet 4/ easy to hang three filter unit 5/ filters have unique 'on/off' valves to make change-outs EASY 6.It is certified to reduce at least 15 contaminants, including lead, cysts, TDS and heavy metals. PUR recommend the replacement of the filters every six months and the RO membrane every 2-years. PUR provides great instructions and claim this is an 'easy' install. This unit will be our second RO system in the house, and will be installed in the basement kitchen. As for the easy install claim I'd say it depends on your experience with RO systems. Instructions are very clear and IF your application includes wood counter tops, you're gonna be OK. However if you have stone/concrete, or other 'skill to drill' barriers the install will be more challenging. This project is very do-able by a do-it-your-selfer I'd recommend a pro contractor. By the way, this PUR system is very good quality for the price range. The tank is a heavy plastic-like material, the faucet is metal (with heavy plastic lever) and the tubing is all pex-type. Filters are like any other manfgr...all-in-all good quality for the price. The ONLY negative (for me) is the SLOOOW delivery of water. Filling a glass/cup is no problem. Filling a water pitcher OR having a large number of water-drinking people will be a slow process. AND it takes time for the RO tank to recover once it is drained. Most contractors suggest filling a pitcher in the evening for use the next day. This works well for us.

PUR 3-Stage Quick Connect 20.3 GPD Reverse Osmosis Water Filtration System with Faucet, White. I love these totally intact water purification systems for home. They are totally contained and all needed hardware and plumbing parts are in the packaging saving any unnecessary trips to the hardware store. These are small enough footprint that installation can be accomplished either under sink or behind the wall in a basement space such as is my setup. With complete instructions and quick connection plumbing the whole process is easy for a diyer. I don’t care for on and off mechanism for the faucet because I prefer the handle type but this system works.

The Pur 3-Stage Quick Connect 20.3 gallons per day reverse water filtration system with faucet looks nice. We have owned RO systems in our old house so we know what features we like. This system will fit where we want it to fit and the filters look like they will be easy to change. That is an important feature for a do-it-yourself family. Since we have well water, we wanted a good filter system, and we know from experience that RO water tastes better than just filtered water. If you need a chrome faucet, this faucet is quite nice, unlike the cheap plastic faucets that come with a lot of filter systems. I think you will like this system. My only negative comment is that the replacement filters are not inexpensive. It is $60 for the two carbon filters, which need replacement every 6 months, and $70 for the RO filter, which needs replacement every 2 years.
