This was perfect I didn't have to bother with coverting the hard wire to plug in. These fit perfectly and it's a safe alternative to doing it yourself. The price was great I seen these for so much more in other places I really can't beat this price I brought two and about to buy two more!... Cont: I brought two more today.

Novo makes great tracks for lighting the home. Quality product...built to last for years! I recommend this product to anyone looking for track-lighting. I have a Lutron dimmer switch operating this 8 track light with halogen bulbs. Luv. Luv. Luv. It.

Hard to judge, since it's the first track rail I've ever bought, but it feels a little flimsy. On the other hand, I was pleased to figure out, finally, a "system" of parts - track rails, track heads and bulbs - that I knew would work together. The pairing with the power cord feed in this product's description was the final piece that made my plant grow-light system work, since I want the lights to be on a timer, not a wall switch.

While I was able to install it to replace an older track lighting set up, the method of attaching the canopy to the ceiling bracket is difficult and poorly designed. One inserts the included screws while the canopy is at a 90 degree ancle to expose the mounting bracket. The one twists the canopy around to its proper angle. The problem is that the screw heads stick out, making it impossible to fully rotate the canopy without exerting significant force to bend the metal brackets so they will fit over the protruding screw heads. While I was knnowledgable enough to figure out a workable solutioin, I would have spent more money and gotten a better product that's easier to install.

Buyer be aware there may be a problem with this Live End cord. After installing it to my track it did not work. But when I turned it over, literally turning it upside down, the lights came on but only for a moment. I realized something was loose, making an intermittent connection. Luckily, this model comes with a removable cover, and I found that both incoming wires had not been properly attached to their respective screw posts. After re-installing the wires, the lights came on with no problem. So if you do buy this item, take the cover off and inspect the connections and save yourself some time troubleshooting and head scratching. 10/28/16 - received the second of these units; inspected it, and the wires were installed fine.

This Novo TR120 four-foot, Halo-style track worked excellently for a track lighting installation. You'll need some kind of end power feed to attach to the end of the track. This will supply power to the strip. I purchased theNuvo TP169 conduit live end power feed , and it worked excellently. The TP169 snaps into the end of the TR120 and has wires in an enclosed area where Romex attaches. The Halo-style track has two contact ridges on one side of the channel and one on the other side. When inserting the light, you match the two contact side of the light to the two contact channel, then twist the light in place. If you install it in reverse, the light won't twist in place. It's probably not as easy to visualize through this description, but when you see it, it's easy to understand. Be sure to purchase a Halo-style light and you'll be all set. We purchased dimmable LED lights wired to a Lutron dimmer switch, and it made for a perfect installation! This product worked perfectly with our installation, so we have no problem recommending it to others.

I think many have had the same problem I did--the track heads do not light if you do not install them properly, and the installation instructions fail to tell you that you need to hold the slip collar back before you place the head into the slot and keep it retracted until you have twisted the head 90 degrees to lock it in place. This is not very easy to do because the slip collar is hard to hold out of the track. If you do not retract the head, it will not make full contact with the copper power strip inside the track housing. Once I figured this out, I had no problems, but I got very frustrated before I did. Addendum: If you are using this with the Live End Cord Kit (plugging into a wall socket), insert it into the track with the steel metal prong on the side of the track with two copper strips. If you place it the other way, it won't fit. Another gap in the instructions... I suggest that you slide in the Cord Kit Before you attach the track to the ceiling.
