This is really a good more basic thermostat. We have had the same ones, but low voltage versions, for 15 years, but I needed one for a new 240V heater, so I got the same style. It works great and I love that it mostly matches the others (except the lighting color). The back lighting color changes with the temperature, which a lot of people will probably like. I don't mind it, but I would probably have preferred that I could set it at whatever color I like, but it's not something I would deduct stars for. Overall, it's a nice looking unit that provides exactly what we need and performs it's job well.
I will be buying more of these as I need them.
Really good product, easy install.
Engineers and designers could learn a lesson from this design. It's simple, installs and functions fantastic and looks great. This is a well thought out and executed product. Kudos to King for such a great design!
I would buy again

Easy to install, replaced a unit running two heaters that was stuck on! This product seems to provide the most power of anything I researched. It went in in 5 minutes and has been working great.
Excellent product, easy to install highly recommended!

Wonderful concept, flawed execution. Handles the load of three 1600-watt wall heaters in my great room. Changing-color backlit display is a great idea, and it works. But displayed temperature is about 7 degrees higher than actual temperature as shown on two separate thermometers in same room. Rather than correct this discrepancy with a design change, the manufacturer chose to address the problem with the following "temperature disclaimer" in fine print at the bottom of the wiring instructions: "Due to internally generated heat and an offset to compensate for this, the display temperature of the thermostat may not match a digital thermometer placed next to it or in the same room. . . Set it to what feels comfortable, not the temperature you were used to with your old thermostat." Sorry, that's not good enough for an item that costs ~$100. I'll be returning it to Home Depot and replacing it with an old-fashioned analog non-programmable thermostat.

Just what I needed
Customer purchased a programable thermostat rates at 25amps when his system was drawing a constant 18. I just wish they made a programable one.
Better theromstat
Works great. Has on/off switch and backlight switch.
