This machine truly is silent and I noticed a difference within 24 hours in the air quality. The heat it gives off is very, very little, unnoticeable to the room temperature as a whole. Time will tell how long it holds up as this has been in use for less than one month, but I am optimistic given its current performance.

Not as big

Does the same job as The Lotus; however, effective over a smaller area.

I would buy this again because of price.

Already have one for bedroom and bought this for den--what I like most is no filter to deal with.

Perfect solution for a busy room

I needed something quiet to use in our family room because our other air filters created too much background noise. This is absolutely silent and seems to do a great job at clearing out the allergens. I'm very happy with it.

[Rewarded Review]

With a family of several allergy sufferers we found the P2000 Air Purifier by AirFree has alleviated quite a bit of breathing issues. This is one of the newest methods of eliminating airborne germs, viruses and bacteria by purifying the air with sterilizing heat. Of course, the only indication that I have that this works is that the allergy sufferers in the family have a sense of relief; the rest is by trusting that this method works. There’s really no way for us to tell if it actually works. It has a ceramic heat chamber inside that helps produce clean air. This one, the P2000, is suitable for up to 550 sq. ft (larger than a two car garage) which would be ideal for medium or average size rooms. It’s filterless, very quiet and easy to operate. It’s suitable for work or home and great around children as the shell is cool to the touch. There’s nothing to replace and it’s lightweight to move it from room to room. The company states that it uses the heat inside to kill microorganisms such as mold, pet dander, bacteria and dust mite allergens – all that might trigger asthma, respiratory ailments and mold.

I returned this ASAP

I set this up in my bedroom. It doesn't do anything and by that I mean, there is no air intake to this device. The top did get warm but how will it kill anything when no air is taken into the device? I think it is a joke. Nothing that would actually work.

The only reason I would not recommend this purifier is that the led on the front is called an On/Off led in the instructions, but it is not related to the operation of the purifier. The led is only related to the night light. The instructions mention making sure the On/Off led is on. Based on the function of the purifier I’m not clear why that instruction is included. This may be a safety hazard if the end user does not understand this failure of relationship between the instructions about the led and the operation of the purifier. The instructions do say to check the temperature of the air above the purifier to tell if it is off. The inside of the top of the box has a recommendation to have the purifier in a well-ventilated area for the first five days. Since the purifier uses an electric heating element, it is reasonable that during the first use it may emit some odor. I let the purifier run outside for the first five-days. The On/Off led was off for over 24 hours. When the ambient temperature was around 60 degrees Fahrenheit, I left a thermometer on the top of the purifier for about ten minutes. The thermometer registered the highest possible temperature, which is over 120 degrees Fahrenheit. The instructions, at one point, do make it clear that the only way to tell if the purifier is working is to feel the temperature of the air above the top of the purifier. This makes the description of the led as “On/Off led” a significant inconsistency. The purifier is on whenever it is plugged in to an electrical source. In the house, a cooking thermometer registered just under 150 degrees Fahrenheit above the purifier. If you understand the issue with the led, then this air purifier is a nice size and shape. I did not conduct the tests described on the website to determine if the purifier is actually purifying the air.

This is a very compact air purifier. It is approximately 8.5 inches in diameter and stands about 10.5 inches tall. It is not heavy at all; maybe a few pounds at most.

Quality of materials, design and functionality is good, however the concept of this appliance, although seemingly foolproof fails short to provide a sufficient disinfection capacity even for a closed small room.

It works really well! I was very skeptical after receiving the unit. It was well packaged and easy to set up, mostly. It is definitely silent! There is no fan or filters like traditional air purifiers. This unit work by heating up the air. The unit gets warm, but not hot, there is warm air coming from the top vent, so the whole thing works on convection.

This is one hight-tech and easy to use air filter. At the end of this review is an overview/demonstration video I put together. The air filter basically superheats air it filters, killing mold, viruses, bacteria, organic odors, etc. then cools the air off before releasing it back into you room. It is nice and small and can filter up to 550 sq feet, so good for living areas are very large rooms. It is small and quiet as well. This is great for people who hate germs or if you work indoors and want extra protection during the pandemic. I would particularly recommend this if you work in an office with people coming in and out, musty areas, hospitals, food pantries, etc. This air filter has to run 24/7 for it to be effective.

Super quiet. If you are looking for an air purifier this is the one to get. I recently developed hay fever and was told to look for a purifier for the bedroom. This AIRFREE purifier is exactly what I need. I like it because it is QUIET! I hear the furnace but not this. There are NO filters to change is another bonus. It has a blue light on top but is NOT bright meaning it will not keep you up. The unit heats up like a chimney. Hot air rises, the pollen, mold etc. gets killed by the heat as it rises and clean air comes out the top. I realize that there is no way to see the results, but when I walk into the room in the morning, it smells fresh, No other smells. I think this is a great machine and has science behind it. A great find at Home Depot.

This purifier was recommended by a doctor specializing in mold illness and it did indeed take the musty smell out of the room.
