Purchased this LED bathroom fan for my son and his wife's master bath. The old fan was very loud, had a nasty light and didn't move the "funk" well. This unit is 100x better. Installation was a breeze. The LED light is so much brighter than the old bulb. I didn't realize how nice the glass cover was when I ordered the unit. It complements their bathroom very well. As for the 100-CFMs? - the fan does an excellent job moving the air out of the bathroom. And at 1.5 sones, it sounds like 1/3 of that. It is so quiet there are times you could swear it is turned off. It doesn't 'snap' right to life, but spins up in 2-3 seconds.

This fan simply does not extract moisture from the bathroom while you shower. Do not buy it.

weak and see through

The fan is not very powerful and the glass globe is not opaque enough to hide the hole in the ceiling. Overall I would not recommend this piece and wish I could change it out for something more powerful and less see through.

Needs a Redesign

Really wish I had read the reviews before purchasing. The fan works well (despite others saying there were issues with condensation), but the decorative glass doesn't cover the huge hole you need to cut in the ceiling in order to install the fan. It looks ridiculous and there needs to be a fix so you don't see a huge black square from under the fan or the edges of the hole from a distance.

Does not work, does not look finished, NO CS

Bought this more expensive fan hoping for a more finished look. Like another reviewer posted, the hole shows, but WORSE IT DOESN'T WORK!!!! In both applications, the fan is easily overwhelmed and collects then drips water onto the floor. The hardware corrodes and quickly looks terrible. NO ONE will call back from Delta Customer Support. Wish I had returned these.

poor design

I have to agree with the other reviews. Delta clearly never installed one. Once installed, you clearly see the corners of the 8"x8.25" hole at the edges of the glass shade. Other fans I've installed come with a trim piece that obscures the square vent body hole, but this one does not. The glass shade is held flimsily in place by the downrod, which even using the shortest one, the closest I can get the glass shade to my ceiling is just over half an inch. Also, the "bronze" hardware should definitely be labeled as brass. I'll be using the white finial and painting it to match the rest of the bathroom hardware. If I hadn't just spent a day installing this fan, I would return it. As it is, I'll be looking for aftermarket trim pieces to make it look better than it currently does, which is terrible.

Terrible design.

We were trying to find another fan/light like we have in our other bathroom. Unfortunately, we thought this was the one. The other one had a grill that was in a circle that the glass tightened against when installed. This is flimsy looking, has a large gap between the fan and the glass. Bought two! Big mistake!

LOOK AT MY PHOTO FIRST! Their photo is fake.

Attached you will see that the reason they are using a pasted over photo, which I wondered about on all the listings selling this. It is because the lamp does not cover the giant hole for the vent!! You see it everywhere except standing under it. Now I have to hire people to try to do something about covering part of it -- but that reduces the point of the vent!

Needs Redesigning before mass producing for sale

Designer should have either designed glass shade to obscure the complete view of the square hole in the ceiling by providing a 16” diameter glass bowl (not 14”) that sits 1” higher OR provided a flat square decorative edging to go around the perimeter & cover the square corners of the ceiling square hole that look terrible after complete install.

I replaced an existing 8" x 8 1/4" fan. I assumed it would go into the existing cut out. It is a little larger than 8" x 8 1/4" so had to make the cut out larger for this one to fit. It is quiet.

Replacement Fixture

We needed to replace the original (30 years) fan light in the bathroom and decided to get what looked like the same fixture so no issues with installation. We do not do electrical, so had electrician come in to install. He had to go in the attic but all went well. Great having an LED light bulb that came with it. Fan seems powerful enough. Looks great. Hope it lasts a long time but don't expect 30 years:)
