This headboard is very well made. The paint finish is better then expected. It was easy to assemble.

Good value, looks nice

We've been looking for a Mission style headboard only for a long time and I was happy to find this one. While we would have preferred more of a reddish stain to match the rest of the furniture in the bedroom (4 Stickley pieces) we didn't want to buy a whole bed. Decided to try this. It was easy to assemble, we slid it into place and it looks great. Appreciate the pillow guard that prevents pillows from sliding down under it. We have had a queen size headboard for the past 23 years- it is nice to have one that fits our king sized bed.

Happy with purchase!

We decided to move to a King size bed and wanted just a headboard and this was perfect. We attached it directly to a metal bed frame with two screws on each side and it is a little top-heavy but I think it is secure and will be fine (we previously had both a headboard and footboard which provides more stability). We purchased the walnut color and it is definitely darker than a typical walnut (more like an espresso color) - which we love. Also purchased the Daniel 3-drawer Transitional Wooden nightstands in espresso to go with it and they match really well.

I was very happy when I got the email saying that my headboard was arriving earlier than I had thought. When I got it, I was glad to see that the packaging was not damaged at all. When I opened it I was instantly really impressed with the quality and the design. The instructions for assembly were simple, and the overall ease of assembly was very welcomed. I see my bedroom differently now. It looks much better than I thought. This is a nice headboard, solid and nice looking. I recommend it.

Color Off

I couldn't decide between the walnut or black headboard. I chose the walnut because the walnut color in the photo matched my other bedroom furniture. Much to my disappointment, the actual color of the headboard was darker than in the photo. I considered returning it, but Overstock's policy is you are responsible for the cost of the return shipping fee when you return an oversized item if you return a non-defective or undamaged product. I assumed the return shipping fee for a king size headboard would be exorbitant, so I assembled it (fairly easy) and am using it. Otherwise, the quality is good, especially for the low price.

Beautiful Wood Headboard

The Mission Headboard arrived in good time. We assembled this without problem and installed it on our metal bed-frame with minor coordination issues. If there had been no boxspring in the way it would have been easy peasy. Clear instructions were provided along with hardware and allen wrenches. They also provided one extra set of nuts, bolts and washers. Oh! And they also provided an unexpected USB charger we could have attached to the headboard! Go figure!

Natural stained headboard....disappointed!

The headboard looked pretty in the picture. When it arrived, one can see how the glue is placed, then varnished over it. It was spotty and right on top, in front! The wood was also jointed together without a continuous piece of wood, again, right on top in the front of the headboard! I would have returned it in a second, but it's heavy and I didn't want to pay the postage. I would not get the natural headboard at all. Really disappointed!

Headboard

I was able to put the headboard together myself. Once I laid the parts out, it probably took 30 minutes for me, an older female, to put the frame together. Greatly appreciated the extra screws and lock washers. They were not needed but it sure was nice to have. My son helped get it onto the bed frame. It took him less than 10 minutes. I am very pleased to have this headboard in my spare bedroom! The finish matches my night stands. The bedroom has a very nice, finished appearance! Happy with my purchase!

Beautiful headboard! Easy to put together. I had ordered one in walnut and one in espresso. One of the legs on the espresso didn't line up and returning it was easy. I will say if you are looking for espresso to order the walnut. The walnut is a very deep stain, and the espresso is almost black. I wanted both, but the walnut ended up going in my espresso bedroom. I wish this came in a more medium brown stain. Overall, I think the value is excellent.
