Fantastic, I bought the lamps plus one and installed it and loved it. Bought a Westinghouse one on Amazon and the Lamps Plus one is a way better unit.

Big Flop

I spent about 5 hours installing this, and I have put up dozens of lighting fixtures. The self drilling screws were not long enough--had to hunt new screws. The threaded pipe was too long and I did not discover this until it was too late. I shined a flashlight toward the top of the can and saw that the sharp end of the threaded pipe was chewing through the wires. The ground wire was completely exposed. Fortunately the red and black wires were ok. Some of the holes in the support plate were drilled too big for a standard 8/32" screw. Poor manufacturing! The edge of the round support plate was sharp. Also poor manufacturing. This is definitely not the way it went on Youtube. The directions for installing for track lights were completely wrong.

Still a little tricky

The idea behind this is good, but it is still tricky to install. It's hard to describe in writing, but the way the instructions say to do it, you wouldn't have any room to hook up your wiring so you have to adapt a bit. It was frustrating, but it worked in the end.

Does the job, but not a "slam dunk"

Be prepared to improvise.... use parts provided plus some extra screws etc.

Works as advertised!

The can converter was the perfect solution to my dilemma of how to secure a pendant lighting structure to my current recessed can lighting fixture. The parts were all well made except for the cheap beveled plastic medallion (which is unfortunately the only part that shows). The directions aren't well written / illustrated, and installation took quite a while and required some improvisation for my pendant light to attach. All in all, a good product, although I think it is a bit overpriced for what is essentially just some fitted bracket hardware.

didn't work for me, but good idea.

i couldn't use this because my bucket light wasn't the right kind, i think because i live in a condo with cement ceilings. it seemed like a nice idea, but wasn't able to do it myself. if you had the right kind of bucket light, i'm sure it would be fine.
