i have been using this only 1 month and its started making a nocking sound. its of course not eligable for return anymore as i got it over the summer when it was cheaper. but i havnt even had it plugged in a full month and its quit. never again.

Well designed attractive wall mounted space heater. The thermostat works well to regulate room temperature. In automatic mode the the control circuit switches from high to low heat (and varies fan speed) depending on the difference between room temperature and the thermostat setting. This saves energy and prevents over-heating.

Most frustrating heater I ever owned and I've owned many.

First off, the heater works as do any. Eco mode is 500 watts, high is 1000.

Small but useful

My home office is in a basement room that has no heat of its own. I have been getting by the last year on a couple of different space heaters. During the recent cold spells I have been coming downstairs to find my room at 60 degrees in the morning so I wanted something that wasn’t running when nobody was in the room, yet had it warm by the time i was ready to start work for the day.

Found these on the website, clicked order boom. receive them, tear my heater down to replace them and they dont fit. My heater was manufactured 2017, missed the small print that says i gotta call Heatstorm if my heater is old for parts. Great. So now i have a heater i can either break out the dremmel and make these fit or call customer care and see if maybe they have the ones to fit my heater. Was stunned to have the heater work for 5 years, ****** this is how it turns out

Im not blaming Walmart in the least. But thr heat storm company is extremely useless. I bought two of these heaters. They are horrible. My tv remote changes the setting on these heaters. They are impossible to control temperature on. I have been calling the company for 9 months. They say we will get with the correct department and call you back sir. Evidently the correct department is on the moon. Don't buy these things folks. You'll regret it.

Constant High Low Cycling

Like another reviewer mentioned, this unit is very busy. Constantly cycling between fan speeds. I tried adjusting temperature as the manufacturer suggested, but it got worse. And honestly I want it to work at the temp I set it for. Yes, my house is drafty that is why I bought the unit. Seems like this is not the unit for my needs, back it goes. Unit might be okay if you are not sitting next to it and listening to it. Plus it feels and sounds like a little hair drier blowing on you.

Returned because it makes too much sound in both cycles. The fan sound was loud enough for a small space, but did not expect there to be a high pitch humming even when fan was not on. Tried only for a couple of days, did not get a chance to evaluate heating performance. It might work for spaces where the constant sounds are not an issue. Looks, design, remote, cool to touch, sleek wall mount, digital display were all plusses.

I liked so much I got two

These heaters look even better when seen in person. I got one for my living room and one for my bedroom and bath. I like the fact that they are remote controlled . And the double air filter system is leaps and bounds above the compitition. I suffer from environmental lung disease from years of hauling hazardous materials . So every bit of filtration is a great help. I'm actually looking forward to cold weather now.

I bought 2 of these heaters and installed 1 in room of about 130 sq. ft. and the other one in a room of about 300 sq.ft. I use the one in the small room almost every night and it heats the room very quickly. I have only used the one in the bigger room a couple of times. At first I was disappointed with how much air it blows, because I'm used to different kind of heater, but after using it for awhile I have become used to it. They were very easy to install and the mounting template had a built in level which was very convenient. It probably took me about 5-10 minutes to install each of them. The controls and the remote were very easy to learn and it maintains the room temperature that I have set.

For some reason the unit takes a long time to heat up a very small area and the end result isn't a toasty room. Have a Duraflame 1500W standalone heater that takes half the time at a lower setting and will warm the room nicely. Was actually thinking of returning, but I already put in the screws and anchors to hold it on the wall and would have to fill them in and repaint. For the overall cost, I may just leave it in place and think about an alternative heat solution like a built in wall heater which would be more costly and require an electrician to put in a separate circuit. Have to weigh the price difference and see if I can live with the Heat Storm during the coldest months. Maybe I should have opted for the Phoenix Heat Storm with 1500 W........may still consider it...

It wasn't quite what I expected. Instead of having an "econ" setting that shuts off, the heater cycles almost nonstop. If the temp drops 1 degree below the set temp. the heat runs. If it's a degree or 2 higher, the fan runs to "cool off" the heating element, which then drops the room that 1 degree below the setting, so it starts heating up again. Their idea of an "econ" setting is running at 500 watts, not settling on a temp and shutting off. If I had known that, I wouldn't have bought it, but it wasn't in the product description on Home Depot's site or any other I looked at.

I have had this heater in my office for a long time and it works really well. I have it set to 70 degrees and all I can say is that I am always comfortable. It kicks on when it needs to, it turns off when it gets to the right temperature. Its quiet and doesn't take up much space. It puts out lots of heat and when I have my little 2 year old with me, I am not worried about burns because I know the grill is safe to touch because I have touched it when it is heating full blast just to make sure. There are more expensive heaters out there, and there are cheaper ones too. For the money, you can't go wrong with it. The only thing I would like to see in the future is different color options like matte black.
