These floating shelves unfortunately have grooves in the back that are visible when hung. After receiving the shelves and looking closely at the picture you can see them. With the lights on, those grooves cast shadows in the shelves.

Shelves worked perfectly for what I wanted! They were easy to hang up and look very nice. My only complaint is that the 5x5 shelf is a bit too small, but other than that everything is perfect!

Wish they were a little larger. The 5”x5” shelf is very small and I’m not sure what would even fit inside the shelf.

I plan to plant succulents in these shadow boxes. I have stapled screen to keep the soil inside the shadow boxes and will staple chicken wire on the other side to hold the plants in place with some sphagnum moss. I hope to fill each shadow box with hardy succulents to maintain these outside all year in MN. I'm just concerned about these boxes longevity outside with some watering.
