Lovely Style that Offers Numerous Uses

An attractive cake stand that my daughter decided to use as a display stand in her bedroom. She accessorized it with a 3-wick container candle, a small framed photo, and micro florals. It's a lovely compliment to her dresser top. The paint finish on the pedestal was splotchy and had a light yellow tint to it. She corrected it with a couple light sprays of paint that matched the platter section. Overall, it's well made and worth the small investment.

The stand is beautiful but I did not like the top rim. It made it hard to correctly place the cake. The elaborate design around the edge is amazing but a flat top would've worked better.

I already have a set of these. I just wanted to add another one. They are very sturdy. The coloring gives it a vintage feel. The metal lace on the sides is sturdy and doesn't bend very easily. I highly recommend this for cakes or cupcakes.

Absolutely beautiful. If you are looking for a rustic theme. Alrhough, I thought the cake holder would be much heavier it does the job.

Painting to

I like the shape, size, and "lace" on this cake stand, but I hate the brushed green and orange, especially on the base. It does not look distressed, it looks like almost dry brush strokes- you can definitely see the brush hairs. It could be they wanted the green to look like oxidation and the orange to look a little rusty, but it just looks like green and orange paint! Shipping was $4, plus $8 to return, so I am choosing to keep this. I am afraid to paint the plate where it is in contact with food. I will probably try dry brushing over the offensive pedestal with white linen paint...

this is the cutest thing I have ever seen. I use it as a prop to hold my dish soap, small plant and a decorative rock that says "faith" next to my kitchen sink.
