We gave these as a gift to my brother-in-law who for some time told himself he didn't need them. We felt differently as he sets a table better than most 5 star restuarants!. We learned the other day that he used them for the first time when his sister visited. Love this thing! I have a pet peeve about butter getting nasty with bread crumbs and such from spreading on toast. Also my husband likes to keep butter on the counter at room temp. This allows us to cut our butter into 2 oz. Pieces and keep the rest in the fridge and we can change out for “fresh” crumbless butter more often

This is my second mini butter dish. I really love these. They hold about a half a stick of butter, but I like that it stays fresh and covered between use.When I have guests, I can put one at each end of the table. It is more than enough for the dinner, but does not end up looking messy.
