Get what you pay for

Worked fine right out of the box. 3 weeks later the lights stay on all the time. Day and night. Already threw out the box so guess I’ll just go to the hardware store and buy quality than trying to save a buck. Old saying. Get what you pay for. Online shopping is starting to see I’m spending more on cheap products then having to buy quality later. Time to get back to box stores and see feel look before I purchase.

What it’s not made for!!

Well I had to order it for starters local lowes didnt have it on the shelf second it isnt made to install on a carport. I have put the sensor every way I can and the lights stil cycle as soon as it goes off, Click right back on. So i’m stuck. Would probably work perfect on the back side of the house. idk. Oh well it was the cheap option.

The 240-Watt 110-Degree White Motion Activated Outdoor Dusk to Dawn Security Flood Light with Twin Head permeates the darkness. This unit does not come with bulbs but requires 2 size PAR 38. The motion activated photocell adjusts from 3 second to 10 minutes. It also has a dusk to dawn sensor that keeps the light from turning on during periods of daylight.

I rarely give a bad review to anything, but it's hard for me to find something as a plus for this product. Light bulbs are not included in the box. Though it's labeled, it's very subtle. I mean most people probably won't read every single word on a box of the product. I had to go back to home depot to get the bulbs. The looks is pretty bad in my opinion. The plastic looks cheap as well. To adjust the angles, a screw driver is needed. I had another one from the same brand and that one comes with knobs on every joint which is very easy to alter later on. This one doesn't do that.

The light was very easy to install and used it to replace a 600 watt dusk to dawn light that is just a energy hog. Instructions were very easy to follow and all necessary pieces came in the box. The light sensor is covered to help set up the motion part in day light which made it very easy to adjust. Only problem was couldn't get any range from it. Had to be within 10 feet before it would come on. I tried different angles but no adjustments made it any closer. Thought maybe with it being 100+ degrees it maybe effecting it so I tried in the early morning hours before day light. Didn't change anything, still had to be within 10 feet or less for it to come on. Instructions say to walk across it and not towards it but nothing helped. It was mounted 9 feet up the outside wall and you had to be very close to the building before the light would come on. I removed it and put the energy hog back on. Will try in a smaller area to see if it helps.

I was very excited to have the opportunity to try one of these lights..... The first thing I noticed is you have to drill out the mounting holes. Not a biggie but something out of the ordinary..... Once the mounting holes were drilled installation was fairly normal. Keep in mind it is an all plastic fixture thus it has no ground.... Once mounted it lite 2 times and that was it. I killed the power to reset and nothing. After messing on a ladder for over 30 minutes it took it down and tossed it. Remounted my old light until I find another option.

This 240-watt 110-degree white motion activated outdoor dusk to dawn security flood light with twin head was exactly what I needed. I installed this in the rear of the house to illuminate that area when I need to snowblow during the winter. I angled one light to illuminate where I need to snowblow, and I angled the other light towards the roof when I need to clear the snow off the roof. I can actually SEE what I’m doing! This unit doesn’t come with bulbs, but it was easy to shop for them. I just needed to make sure they were type PAR38. I ended up buying these bulbs (model #5BHPR1200SW1D02, Internet #206668166 Store SKU #1001654080). I like how this fixture is suitable for wet locations (specifically says so in one of the pictures below). Installation was a snap with direct wire connections. I set the timer setting to full clockwise position, which is 10-minutes, to minimize the number of times the light goes out when I am out there working. Fixture has a 1-year warranty.

This outdoor motion sensor activated security light is really bare bones. What you receive is a small footprint plastic housing with a motion sensitive detector and two adjustable bulb holders. Bulbs not included. The molded plastic housing isn’t even pre drilled for electrical box mounting. Then how do you hide the screw heads. If your handy have the right tools and are looking for a basic unit that you can supply the bulbs for this one will work for you.

Great looking light. Very simple installation and instructions are included. The light sensor for dark and daylight works very well. The 2 light sockets swivel and rotate. Lock rings on each work great to hold them in position. The motion sensor is also easily adjustable and 1 screw locks it in place. My only complaint is that there is no adjustment for sensitivity. The daylight/dark part is great but I would like it to be more sensitive. We have it in the back yard so our dogs trip the light when they go out and if anyone was to enter my yard, it'll light up for them too. It does see, to be well built so I hope it'll last a good, long time

Needed a motion light for back porch as one from few years ago fizzled out. Got this one. Medium weight plastic. Out of box it would not line up with my electrical box. After a few thoughts we drilled hold with paddle bit in the center of the unit and threaded through the screw that holds a lot of lights in place. Gasket did not fit well between electrical box and the back side of light. The instructions said it came with silicone caulk but there was none in the box. For now all I had was a small amount of white caulk and being story and 1/2 high with a man who doesn't like ladder the caulk job wasn't as good as it should be. No real biggy on sad caulk job. Seems to be coming on so far when we walk past to walk the pups. Only put 75 watt bulbs in it so as to not blind neighbors in their bedroom next door.

I really wanted to like this floodlight but ended up throwing it away. When I first got it, I liked that it was very simple looking. I was replacing a solar light that stopped charging. The first thing that struck me was that in the instructions, the specifications read "500 watt maximum (incandescent only)". At first I thought it could only take incandescent bulbs but I finally found wording on the box that any type bulb will work. Then I read that the mounting holes for the screws had to be drilled out for installation. I've never seen that before and it's a hassle for people who don't have the assortment of drill bits to fit the exact size needed. Having the holes pre-drilled and providing plastic caps would be much better. Also (minor), there's a red washer included in the installation pack but nothing in the instructions to indicate what it's for. The installation was simple; white to white and black to black. There's no ground. I hooked it up and the light went on and then off. I stood in front of it and waved my arms like I was being attacked by a swarm of bees hoping no one was watching. Nothing. I did the same thing at different distances. Nothing. I got up on my ladder and waved my hand in front of the sensor. Nothing. I checked the power and everything was fine. The thing just wouldn't work. Finally, I went to my warehouse store, bought a floodlight assembly (LED's built in) and hooked it up and everything worked fine.

Ordered two fixtures for above & below deck (stairway) locations. Both on the same circuit. Good news: They turn on, & the photo-electric eyes seem to work. Bad news: Regardless of where the timer dial (for length of illumination after activation) is set on either one, once power is switched on they both consistently turn off after only 41 seconds--then, if either one is triggered by motion, the lower one will eventually turn off, but the upper one won't. Have tried them over several days, & they still behave the same regardless of weather. My fault for buying the cheapos.
