Great bin! Highly recommended

Perfect size to fit in an awkward corner in our kitchen. Pedal works well - like the slow close feature and the slim, but large opening.

Hi, the dimensions of this bin as quoted on your website are correct. However, the height measurement (with lid open) is incorrect. As you can see from the attached picture, the height is approximately 106cm. This is so annoying when buying online and simple measurements are wrong - you have no idea how much grief I have received from my office colleagues! Please correct your site. Thanks Steve.

We were on holiday and the apartment had a Simply Human bin which impressed us as easy to use, stylish and very functional. As we needed a new bin at home we bought one for our kitchen and we are pleased with our purchase. Highly recommend this bin.

Excellent bin and great value for money

Delighted with this bin. It is nice and deep and the lid doesn't slam down on closure. It glides slowly to close. Love the colour and it fits perfectly into a narrow space. Free bin bags go with it which are very sturdy.

Great bin!

This bin is great. It looks very sleek. The metal rim keeps bin liners hidden even if you don't use the fitted ones. It's easy to change the liner as the metal rim holds itself open when lifted. I like how the capacity is bigger than the standard 30L kitchen cylinder while maintaining a small profile. The white plastic body is great, it looks premium and blends into the wall but is super easy to clean.

Very pleased

As waste bins go, this is good. It's a useful shape and is not unsightly in my kitchen. It doesn't have a liner; just the plastic bag to hold the waste. The foot pedal is strong, as is the chrome stand below it. I have managed to stretch ordinary liner bags to fit as the Simple human ones are too expensive for a family. As usual, JL click and collect is reliable and convenient. It has a five year guarantee, which is good.

Sleek, Streamlined and Super!!

This is the best bin I've bought. It looks great, holds a lot and fits conveniently into a slim space. It has a soft close, and opens using the pedal, meaning you don't need to touch the lid. I bought the silver and white one and it looks stylish. It is also easy to clean and doesn't show up marks on the way my old stainless steel bin did. Highly recommend.

Super

I hate kitchen bins, I hate the smell but thought I’d give one another try. I am pleasantly surprised that I like this one, it stays clean and does not smell. I have bought the recommended bags to go with it and I like that they fit perfectly. All in all I’m very happy with the product and have been converted!

Works great for me!

Excellent. Larger than i needed, but that's okay. Top closes nicely. Took a bit to figure out how to open the rim to put the bag in (just pull it all the way up as if it were a lid!) It does slide a bit too easily on the floor but i put a box of the bags in the bottom which helped. Plus now the bags are always handy.

Fantastic New Bin

This bin is great. Fits in along the side of the cabinets perfectly.

Great quality bin!

Really pleased with this bin. It is sturdy and excellent quality. The lid is soft close and very quiet. There is a lip around the edge which lifts up to hold the bin bag in place. It is easy to clean and looks stylish.

Great trash can for small spaces. I love that there is a rim that holds the bag down. Also, the lid and rim can be opened if you need to temporarily keep the lid open without stepping on the pedal. The trash can is much lighter than the stainless steel models. This allows you to easily move it around the kitchen.

I love the simple human trash can.great quality. It arrived 2 days earlier than expected. The packaging wasn’t very secure. Thought it would be damaged but it looked fine. My suggestion would be is to put a little more effort in packaging merchandise. Thank you!

It white Plastic Trash can

I don’t know how good the trash can is( so I don’t want to ruin the function review , hence the 4 star) but I will return it because it turned out to have a plastic body. You’d think the description would tell you somewhere that the trash can is white plastic!

I was disappointed that the trash can is mostly made of plastic when it was advertised as primary steel. I expected a stainless steel can. This is false advertising. Otherwise it is working ok and I decided to keep it.

Great bin but can be a pain to put new bags in

Great bin. Large peddle and big opening. However to replace the bag you have to manually lift the inner case and try and put the bag in with the other hand. If the rim is dirty, you end up having it on your hands. There should be a hands free option. The bin is better than the previous one with the wheels which kept dislocating the lid and kept moving backwards.

Good garbage can

Didn’t think I’d be writing a review on a garbage can but here I am.. It’s pretty slick, works great and isn’t an eyesore. Purchased on sale and still found it a bit pricey but I’m pretty content with it so far. The bags included work well and are tough, still have a few left out of the 10 included. The specific replacement bags from simplehuman seem a bit pricey so I’ll probably be giving the regular bags a go and see how they work.

Lasted Less Than 2 Years

After 20 months the pedal stopped opening the lid after the hinges in the cover broke. The hinges are just brittle plastic and there is no way to replace or repair after they shattered. However, this is no different from other step-on trashcans I have examined. This can is lightweight and gets pushed back toward the wall with each use. There is no removable internal liner, making it inconvenient to really get clean. On the plus side, the can fits nicely into deep narrow spaces between counters. It holds the bag quite securely and regular tall kitchen bags work just fine. It keeps odors in pretty well. And it looks very attractive. Worth $69? I can't decide. There is a 5-year manufacturer's warranty but I don't know how long it takes to get a replacement.

amazing grey slim pedal bin

after weeks of looking at all makes iof bins I decided to buy a simplehuman and was not disappointed!! ordering was easy to do online and communication with company outstanding. delivery was fast and was delivered on time and with a smile. bin is amazing! looks so handsome in my kitchen and came with free odour pod and sample liners. liners are great quality too. Lid closes silently. i can honestly say delighted with purchase and experience. Great bin slim but holds lots! love it !!

Cost-cutting option with lots of flaws

Two tiny rubber feet only in back on bottom do not prevent the can from sliding backward throughout the day from using the step - should have been designed with four larger feet at the corners; step is too recessed, which exacerbates the sliding problem - you inevitably push the can backward whenever using the step; no mechanism to lock just the lid - have to lift and lock the entire liner rim with lid if you want both hands free and don't want to awkwardly keep a foot on the step; no odorsorb option for N liners - those are reserved for liners for expensive cans. This is the third Simplehuman can I've had in almost 20 years - all used different liners - and it will likely be the last.
