Holds well: one thing that would be helpful is a catch tray to go along with it, but I used an extra plastic lid for that.

wonderful sifter

Finally a perfectly designed sifter. I love that one can scoop flour into it, right from the container, and it washes easily. You won’t be disappointed. It is a bit expensive, but in my opinion, it is worth it as it should last.

So much easier!

The sifter I have is old, and I avoided using it because it’s so time consuming. This one is so much easier!

Sifter is wonderful

I have needed a flour sifter for ages and this one is remarkable. It is easy to use and easy to clean and I love it!

Sifter Sing Song

This is the first item from KA that has gotten me jazzed up enough to write a review about. Although it could be a bit larger- maybe be able to hold and measure 3 or 4 cups of flour instead of just two, but it does great work of finely sifting and evenly incorporating dry ingredients from my recipes when preparing mixes and batters. I measure my dry leavening agents directly into the sifter after sifting my flour with it , the sift them over the top, which ensures they are evenly distributed. In this baker's humble opinion, this is a very versatile, mobile and useful baking tool.

Flimsy construction

I was disappointed at the construction compared to my OXO 30 year old sifter that this replaced. On the flimsy side

I LOVE having a sifter that scoops. It's tops in that department! But as a sifter, it's not the best. The sifting action is pretty small, and since it's on the side rather than the bottom, you keep needing to adjust to get the flour where you need it. Something similar that has the sifting happening on the bottom would be a better design.

I love that you only need one hand to use this sifter. It also takes up less space than the traditional sifter. Definitely my favorite sifter.

Scoop and sift.

I only used it once and it didn’t hold all the dry Ingredients so I had to measure them into a bowl and then sift them together. I was combining cocoa with flour so had more than usual. I still prefer the sifter screen at the bottom .The big plus is washing it in a dish washer . Ask me again in a couple months. Maybe some people sift and then measure but I would like it big enough to,hold all the measured dry ingredients dry ingredients before I sift.

This scooper-sifter is DEFINITELY a game changer!

Simply stated - this sifter has made baking even more fun. And - the final produces get rave reviews from family and friends. You deserve this!

Sorry I can’t be more positive but this sifter can not compare with the “original” hand crank sifter. I liked the ease of scooping the flour in but the rest of the “scoop & sift” falls flat.

A little disappointed

Because of the design to sift from the side instead of the bottom, it was difficult to use as the contents of the sifter got lower. Everything stayed in the back end of the sifter, causing me to continue to tip the sifter forward to get it near the netting area. I’m so disappointed I used a gift card for this item when I could have spent it on any other wonderful thing King Arthur offers. Never have a complaint about anything else.
