The liner locks are a great time saver

I really like using these wastebaskets for kitchen refuse and recycle. I bought several 8 gallon size in white and the dark gray.

Best garbage can I have ever purchased. The little gray handles fit over the garbage bag to hold it in place firmly so it doesn’t move. Fabulous! This is my second one

Broken off lid springs

The size is just right for my under-the-sink space. But the springs cane out of the lid and I do not know how to fix it. After an year, I’d have expected to hold better

Don't buy you physically look at first!

I order this for my recycles in the kitchen. The lid would not pop open. I investigated and noticed it was missing a spring to help the lid pop open.

materials fine but lid difficult to open in use

Materials and delivery OK, but the lid is awkward to open in use, needs 2 hands to hold the can and open the lid lock

I am mostly satisfied with the product.

The top doesn't open as easily as I would like it to open. The trash can is smaller than I thought it would be.

Junk

Junk. Lid doesn't pop open like it's aupposed too. Missing a spring on one side. Hard to get top off to change bag. Absolute junk.

Poor quality!

The top seems as if it belongs to some other container. Just seems cheaply made. Not worth the money.

I like top spring trash cans over the ones with step-open pedals because I think the latter ones may break more easily. This trash can does it’s work. It’s easy to open and close and is light enough so I can wash it easily. It also fits larger plastic shopping bags so I am saving $ on garbage bags.

I own 11 and have no issues for over 2 years

I love this garbage can I have several of them throughout my house never have I had a hinge break or lid not work or even the locking mechanism which yes is plastic not even break once. I have them in my garage I have them in every bathroom in my house I have them in my living Room of my house I have them under my sink in my kitchen I have them in all 3 of my sheds My sheds are not insulated in their exposed to cold temperatures as well as hot temperatures in the summer time they've never cracked or chipped or broke. I've had them all for over 2 years and have yet to have issue with any of them. Also no issue with the bag not fitting.

Poor quality

First order arrived with no lid. Second order the lid would not stay closed. Cheaply made and the plastic latch that doesn't work looks like it would break very easily. Will be returning and will not reorder.

Not that great

They were the size I wanted, but did not have the feature I wanted. I had bouht some sterlite ones that I love and they were out of stock. I saw these and thought they would be very similar. but they are not! The top does NOT "spring open when touched. I returned them and luckily , My local store got in the kind I wanted this week, so I bought 3 of those.

THERE WAS NO LID!!!!! Since that was the very reason for purchasing this waste basket, I'm extremely displeased. What is your solution?

Lid Did Not Work Well

It was not very easy to tap the top to open and the lid did not close well. I found another one at the Walmart store that worked better for me - Sterilite Ultra StepOn, 2.6 gallon.

Rubbermaid 5.25-Gallon Spring Top Wastebasket

The top came warped so it wouldn't lock on the wastebasket and the flip top wouldn't lock closed, nor would it open when forced closed. Then one of the springs popped off and while putting it back on the other spring popped off and has not yet been found. Don't waste your money on this.

worked for a week

I bought this garbage can about a month ago! I liked the liner lock and how easily the top would open and close! Well that didn't even last a week. The easy open and close top lost it's closing power. Until we get a new one, we set a case of drinks on top, in order to prevent the dog from getting in the garbage.
