Good product, looks great!

Easy to work with. My husband never installed crown molding before, but found this product easy to work with on our somewhat un-square walls/ceilings and it really added a finished look to our living room! It is primed white, but we painted it a semi-gloss white. We bought some more afterwards to install in the bedroom.

Wish I had cut corners myself...

I was nervous about using a miter saw to cut the two corners I needed so I was very happy when I came across these. However, they have been such a pain to work with and I could not get them to fit right with the other pieces of crown molding. Now I'm considering just ripping them out and cutting the corners myself. It's a great idea if they would just fit flush to the others, but they don't.

Why use wood?

My wife picked this out for our formal dining room. I installed it using a miter saw and pneumatic nail gun. There is plenty of bearing surface on this design, making it secure in the saw with just finger pressure holding it down. The big challenge concerned the cutting technique. I had to review at least 7-8 online videos before I saw one that made sense. And all I had was four inside corners. Cut the corners first and then add the connecting piece(s). We decided to just put it up as is with the factory finish (primer). Definitely put any finish on it before, not after, you install it. I don't know how they calculate width; it was at least an inch wider than the stated 2 1/4 inches. All in all, a good project!

Perfect for the room

We needed a nice finish to our master bedroom, and this crown moulding fit the room -- the simple look with the rope decoration added a touch of elegance. Easy to install
