Fine, but not truly white color.

Nice plates, but not white. I was looking to replace some from an existing set that I had and unfortunately, these will have to go back. They are not white, they are off white/cream colored.

Horrible Quality - Black Specks on White Plates

I had to return all of these plates, black specks throughout under the glazing so they looked dirty. No way could I use these...just awful. Bought 8 cases for a wedding and such a pain to return them all.

i was expecting lower quality and more defects. i was wrong. the quality is excellent (hard to believe, at such a low price), and only 2 plates out of the dozen had the most minimal of defects - hardly noticable and which even a fussy person like me can easily live with. If these simple, plain, large dinner plates are your style for everyday, you won't do better than these, or this brand. you can spend much more, for the exact same thing. They are surprisingly strong (which to me, indicates well-made), as when I accidentally knock an edge against something, or against the dishwashers prongs, they DON'T CRACK, DON'T CHIP in the slightest, or break at all. Have had these over 3 months, and would have expected to have broken at least 1 or 2 by now - but not a single chip!
