Poor quality

My wedding china was Mikasa porcelain and lasted for 15 years. I replaced them with the Loria line and all the bowls and cups have had issues with breaking within the first year. So disappointing.

Cracks in multiple dishes after less than one year of use

After a disappointing exchange with Mikasa’s customer service via email, I would advise those looking for a new set of dishes to look further. My husband and I got 12 place settings of these dishes for our wedding, which was less than a year ago. Since then, these have been our daily dishes, but with just the two of us, these dishes have received very gentle use. Despite that, cracks have formed in several of the dishes (one pasta bowl, one cereal bowl, and three dinner plates have been affected). We did not drop or scratch them at all; these cracks showed up on their own. The cracks have created sharp ridges on the dishes’ surface, which makes them no longer safe to use. I wish I could upload photos but I don’t see a way of doing so.

The consistency and quality is not the typical of Mikasa Ive bought. IMO . I’ve had 3 crack so far and when I have them stacked in the cabinet a couple look slightly warped. Not noticeable when using however.

I just purchased these dishes and so far I love them. Makes a pretty table setting and they are smooth feeling and light weight which I love.

The pattern and beautiful, shiny finish are just what I expected and wanted. However, the back of a couple of the pasta bowls are a little rough which makes me hesitant to put them on the plates for fear of damaging/scratching the plate finish. That was disappointing.

Wow! I’ve been looking for attractive, well made China plates that comes in a set without cups and saucers. I bought two sets to equal 8 place settings. Love the pasta bowls especially.

Cream not white

I wanted bright white China and this set is more cream colored. I think this makes them look cheap. I found some black smears on the plates and bowls and discovered that they were from the black Mikasa stamping on the back rubbing off. I could literally take my finger and rub the stamping off. This makes me nervous about the glazing. I do like the size of the plates. They have a nice large flat area. I would not buy these again.

This is a beautiful set I can use everyday. The size of the dishes are perfect. I ordered two sets and one set of dishes had a bit of a flaw. The customer service was very helpful and have sent replacements to me.

I was gifted a set of these when going to grad school nearly 8 years ago. My mom was after me forever to own more than 4 plates, but I could not find the same pattern available anywhere. After about 2 years of searching, I'm very pleased with these and they match my original set perfectly.

This set is just what I was looking for to use everyday. Pieces feel substantial, the style is simple and lovely. I like the sizes of the pieces. The white will go with any tablescape. I received the order quickly and no pieces were damaged or broken. Everything was well padded and packed.
