The old adage "You get what you pay for" certainly applies to this duvet cover set. The fabric and construction are cheap, cheap, cheap. I can't imagine that it would last through one washing. To add insult to injury, Wayfair requires that I pay $18 to ship it back for a partial refund after offering me an $8 discount to just keep it. I won't be ordering from Wayfair again.

This is a very nice , moderate weight comforter. I love the diamond matelasse design, providing subtle texture. It is a bit wider than standard, perfect for my high bed.

Chemical smell!

I gave this a 2 because of the awful chemical smell that came from the box! As I opened the box I had to open my windows to air our the room. The comforter itself is beautiful but the chemical smell of it is terrible! I would like to know if these comforters are treated in anyway. Might have to return it!!

flimsy and poor quality

I would give 0 stars if I could. Wish I had read the reviews before purchasing. Very disappointed--this is not what I would ever consider matelasse. It is so incredibly thin and flimsy. Hard to believe Very Wang would allow her name to be associated with this merchandise. Didn't even finish opening the entire package--it's going back tomorrow!

Very happy with this duvet cover, it fits my duvet nicely and looks good on the bed.

Don’t buy this comforter, it looks pretty but it turns yellow and if you try to wash it it will get worst. I wish it didn’t because I liked it

If you like heavy blankets, this is for you. It is great quality but feels rougher than I would like and very heavy.

The diamond design is simple and modern looking as opposed to the scroll/floral patterns on many matelasse covers. I took away a star because I was disappointed that it is of a much lighter weight than I expected. My current duvet cover I am replacing is much more substantial such that it can be used on its own as a coverlet during the summer. However I am satisfied with my purchase. Did find a coarse black hair when I first unfolded it...yuck factor....but washing before use anyways

Thick, warm and pure white...Beautiful!

Looks great and is thick and warm. It is hard to get some of the wrinkles out, but that can't be avoided for shipping purposes. It is pure, bright white in color and fits great over our thicker mattress. I washed the shams and they came out wrinkle free and soft. I would definitely recommend this comforter set, with a hesitation that the comforter insert might shift....it isn't battened down, but after the first few nights of sleeping, it hasn't been an issue.
