We actually use this on our deck when we want the dog to stay on the deck and not roam in the yard. Works perfectly. Easy to install, easy to use and not obtrusive. We’ll order another one for the front porch.

It’s a great gate and

It’s a great gate and fits its purpose for my needs over all, the length of 2 metres is what I needed. My only negative comment is that once you have pressed the top button, you can open the gate while it’s still locked at the other side, this is due to it just being a lift up rather than needing to further extend the gate to open it. I have the perma 1. 8 metre also which has a different hooking system and this cannot be opened so easily, which for me blocking a toddler running around is better. Depending on your needs (like if for a dog) then this button system is probably much better. I just personally find the hook style system from the 1. 8m perma gate to be better.

Amazing Quality!

I operate a family day care service so I needed 2 retractable baby gates that were high enough for the kids not to climb over and still strong enough to last a fair while.So far they are amazing and it even makes the area still look nice and tidy, and at the end of the day I can just retract them and I’m back to my normal family time.Thank you so much!!!

Not Suitable for dogs

We purchased this item as it stated suitable for dogs (4.5-18kgs) we own two small dogs (8kgs) and they immediately got under the gate. It doesn’t provide any tightening /traction at the bottom and allows for the dogs to fit underneath with no issues. This also poses a safety risk for larger dogs attempting to get under it. I would absolutely not recommend this if you purchased this gate to keep your pets contained in an area.

Awesome gate

Struggled to find a baby gate that would fit the 1.8m space we needed it for. This gate meets our needs and is also great in that it is out of the way when not in use.

2m wide retractable baby gate

Super easy to install, looks great both open and closed and keeps our baby safe - what more could you ask for! I wasn’t sure how we were going to block off our 1.7m wide staircase until we found this. Absolutely love it! Definitely recommend.

Bad Screw/Anchor Fitting

Overall it's a good gate this far, but the little one hasn't yet tested its integrity. After installing it, the screws slipped right out of the anchors like another reviewer mentioned, so I had to get my own.

Quality item, much more hidden than your traditional gate. Could be a bit more 'taught" as our son is aware that the bottom of it can be floppier and tries to get through - though he can't.

Great gate for keeping little dogs out of trouble

Bought this to keep our new puppy from getting up the side of our house where we hang the washing and have some herbs growing.Super easy to install and looks good when open or closed. Love the ability to manually tension the gate and the fact that the fabric is a bit thicker than the other models and that it's a bit taller as well, so very worth the extra few dollars.Free delivery was great and it came super quick (all the way to WA), so ordering from the factory is a great option.Time will tell how well it will last, but our dog is only a Bordoodle so think it should be ok. Not sure I'd rate it against a bigger dog, especially if it was really serious about wanting to get through it, but for what it is it seems pretty sturdy and well made.

Easy to install, poor quality anchors

Easy install process and really like the gate. The anchors that were included did not work (screws would just fly right through them) so I had to use others that I bought from Home Depot previously.

Gate doesn’t lock

Hi, we have installed the gate, but the locking mechanism seems to be faulty. It doesn’t ‘click’ into place and our two year old can open it easily! Can you please advise how we can fix this? We have it at the top of the stairs so obviously we need the gate to be secure.
