No hole with ring. What happened? Just the stopper with a nub to remove it from the drain.

This sink stopper will stop the water from draining away, as long as you carefully select the right size compared to your sink drain, measure twice, go to Lowe’s once. An ecological water saving gizmo.
Made in China
It’s unfortunate that given Danco’s impressive U.S. manufacturing legacy that this product is now manufactured in China. I recommend that Home Depot include an image of the reverse side of the packaging so that propective customers may know where this is made.
