KP303 (strip) and HS100 (plug) are both ...
KP303 (strip) and HS100 (plug) are both perfect! Just plugged it in the wall, plugged in my devices, the Wi-Fi signal was picked up super quick, and my devices are now "Smart". The strip has three outlets which are controlled separately, so if you want the lights separate from the heater, it's simple. I keep buying more and keep looking for more to set the house up, but I find a lot can be controlled by one smart plug if I plug a 2- or 3- plug adapter into the Kasa plug and both lights go off. ?
Very good smart power extension cord. I have many at home. Make it so easy to control my devices. Without needing to get access to all the hidden switches. It works with Google assistant and iOS shortcut. Pretty much you can use Siri or Google Assistant to control. Also can set schedule. And support Geo-fencing. It would be even better if there 5 gans one.
Current smart plugs are very useful, but the USB ports do not support timers or switch buttons. It would be even better if they could monitor power consumption. I also hope that these smart plugs can have a longer lifespan
Long lasting controllable power
I have a few of these that I purchase over the last 4 years. They all work really well. Once programmed they keep to the programming, and overrides are really easy. A nice app to operate these too. Good quality. The only thing that will make these better is if they worked with Apple Home.
Have been using Tapo Plugs for quite a while now, so dipping into the power strip version was not a problem as I have the Tapo App already installed so was a doddle to set up. Each plug on the board does have a switch, but you don't need to physically use them as you can control each socket via the app.
Safety:yes
Performance:Okay
Safety:Ok
Arrived in great condition. Using it as a portable power strip since the switches are regressed in and it's really compact.Power surge protection is a big plus. Just wish it came with a Bluetooth interface instead of connecting to a WiFi network. Wish it had power usage like the TP-Link 110s I have but it's the pricepoint I'm stuck with.Great Product, fast shipping.
Performance:works
A very sturdy robust 3 gang extension with additional USB sockets. But the best thing is that you only need to use the Tapo app if this is your main ecosystem of smart devices. Don't worry about downloading the Kasa app, it's not needed. This is controllable through the Tapo app or through a smart assistant as usual.
Meets my needs
I was looking for a power strip for which each outlet could be individually controlled by an app on my mobile phone. The power strip itself would be connected to a local area network but this network is NOT connected to the internet. I was able to achieve this with the KP303. You do need an internet connection initially when setting up an account via the Kasa mobile app but once the power strip has been setup and placed on the local area network it will work and you can control it from the app without the internet being present. All you need is for your mobile device with the Kasa app to be connected to the same local area network. The only setback, which isn't a big problem for me, is that the power strip doesn't seem to have the strongest connection with the wi-fi router, even though the router is right next to it. But it's not a problem for me to wait a little bit until a connection is reestablished, however if you are someone that needs to be able to control an outlet right away then this wait could be an issue for you. It could also be the case that this connection issue only occurs with my specific power strip and is not a general problem with this product.
Tp-link Kp303 Kasa Smart Wi-fi Power Strip / Power Board, 3 Smart Outlets 2 USB Ports, Surge Protection, Compatible Alexa / Google Assistant
Way better than buying separate plugs when you need multiple items to be switched on and off in the same area. Easy to setup and integrate with Google/Alexa etc. The only minor issue was the firmware update that failed to inform me it had completed (on the app) but had actually been completed.
Sturdy materials. Connected really well with Alexa. Response time to commands instant. Love the ability to time schedule individual sockets to come on and off. If I ever disconnect it from
I have quite a few smart plugs and lights from TP Link now, using the Kasa system, plus a camera that I use for motion detection in order to automatically turn on lights. It's a shame they no longer support the colour changing smart bulbs in the UK now, apart from their Tapo system. Anyway this smart power strip is a nice addition, made to their usual good standard. It's like having 3 smart plugs in one. They can all be controlled individually, and they appear as individual plug sockets in the Kasa device list. If you choose to edit one though, such as the icon or to rename it, all 3 sockets are displayed as part of the single device, and you can select which socket to rename etc.
Very good Tapo/Kasa product and works well with other Tapo branded products.
Love these - we have 5 of them
We love this device. We have 5 of them. We have tried many others, and these are one with less outlets but they are reliable and seem to maintain the most reliable connection to our wifi mesh. You can program the points directly or use Google Assistant... or both as we do.
[Rewarded Review] Solves lots of problems
Works well ... Each socket can be individually controlled remotely.
I was going to buy one if these from a well known High Street seller but Amazin had a deal that made it too good to miss so took the plunge. The strip is well packaged as ever from amazon and was damage free.
I thought I'd make this informative for others: If you're using Home Assistant the Kasa family of TP-Link products work better/easier than the Tapo family. (That said; the Tapo do work and provide an overheat and signal strength sensors Kasa don't).
