Great concept, Super Support

I have a two story home with a single zone furnace. My lower level (LL) would always be 5 to 10 degrees cooler than the upper level (UL). The LL is finished so no oppertunity to dual zone the HVAC system. I added a door seperating the two levels which helped but didn't solve the problem. I converted several of the LL vents to Flair 4x12 smart vents to see if the cocept worked. It did so now I'm converting the balance of the vents to Smart Vents. This 6x10 is the last to be converted. Works GREAT. Also, service is GREAT. I had problems with my Puck and after working with service, they replaced it under warrenty. Buying through the FLAIR URL you get 1 additional year of warrenty support and it works. This Smart Vent concept is the best way to handle the situation i'm in

Amazing system!

These vents are amazing! We were having a temperature imbalance issue in our home and these single handeldly solved that within 2 days. Strongly recommend trying them if you are having a similar issue! Support is also incredible and they were there to help with any issues we had.

These vents are terrific. They are very well built, mostly metal, and not flimsy at that (the vent for the frame is not sheet metal but thicker and very sturdy). I have every vent in my home replaced (10 vents) but I am not controlling them through the Flair ecosystem. I have them all set to manual - I control and manage them all from within home assistant, specifically controlling the opening or closing of each one to only be open when someone is in the room and the heat or air is blowing, being sure to leave specific vents open at certain times in specific unoccupied rooms only when they need to be open to keep the vent pressures within the parameters specified by my furnace manufacturer.

These vents are excellent in every way, in particular they are metal and heavy duty, meant to last a very long time, high quality construction. However, their main flaw is they require an active internet connection to work. Ideally they should allow local control and not require the internet to work properly.

Extraordinary. I'm a gadget guy. Always seeking to solve problems in the house in better ways. The upstairs in my house has always been a problem with unbalanced room temps. Literally three weeks ago the HVAC guys were going to install a manual solution on my air unit. It would have been a hassle.

I have one running and since it's working well I've ordered a few more. During setup I didn't see the lights described in the instructions, so I thought there were issues. However, when 'identifying' the vent, I see the light. Vent operation is very quiet, with normal room noise I haven't noticed when the vent opens/closes but I can see it's changed during the day.

The vent fit perfectly and setup was a breeze. I especially appreciated that it comes with batteries as I completely didn't think about that when I started the installation project! Installation was quick and easy and setup was a breeze. I was adding to an existing system and it joined the system quickly and seamlessly.

Overall the vent works great. Relatively silent, just sits in the floor and does a good job. I do wish it was designed to be more friendly to my own covers. Flair's first-party options just don't work everywhere and the base unit has bumps and protrusions that needlessly prevent customization. Over all the system does work and even with my particularly finicky Daikin blower it has not caused any issues.

We have some hot spots that turn into cold spots in the summer due to too much airflow. Our first purchase evened out the temperature in our laundry room that always suffered from too much airflow.

This thing is awesome! I just put one in the coldest room as I live in Florida. Saved the price in one month of electric bills. Only thing is the room adjacent to this one became the closest and my boys are used to it being warmer. I bought a second kit and now the whole side of my home on this AC unit is evened out perfectly. Install was easy app set up a breeze with Nest thermostats. Set and forget

The flair smart vent does everything it said it would. They were easy to install and set up and make a big difference in keeping the different rooms in my house the right temperature. During set up, the units did not turn on until I removed the batteries and put them back in as the instructions say you may have to do. They also typically take a minute to respond to commands to open or close so be patient. Overall, I am glad I bought them.

This applies to all vent sizes I have tried. I am impressed with the quality and refinement of the product. Similar to my comments about the puck, it is obvious a lot of thought went into how to make this a customer friendly unit. Small details like captive screws in the faceplate may seem minor but not when you consider that the batteries will need to be changed occasionally and a ceiling mounted faceplate brings the risk that the screws could be lost every time. Also, the setup process is very straightforward since the pucks and vents are auto-discovered in the app and the instructions are very easy to follow.

This vent completes the house. Small house with 5 vents total, 10” ceiling mounted round in the kitchen, 3 bedroom vents and the 4th vent for the living room. What impressed me, again, is the entire experience with Flair. Online ordering, unpacking is a bit like opening an Apple product. Instructions are clear, easy to complete with just a screwdriver. The metal construction and the way these are fissioned should result in a lifetime of use. A de finite world buy again.

Almost worth the cost...almost...NOT

These vents are almost worth the massive cost associated with them. The User Interface and compatibility of the app is LAUGHABLE at best, straight up fraudulent at worst. I've got the Flair vents trying to tell my Nest Thermostat to cool the house to 64 degrees, even when both the mode on the Nest is set to Off and the Flair app is set to Off. This is absolutely, the worst executed piece of equipment I have bought for my home. I will be recommending other measures going forward.

I had one very cold room in our house that was tough to balance without our upstairs becoming a sauna. Oftentimes there would be a 6-11 degree difference between those areas. Flair has allowed me to set schedules to better balance temps and push more air to our cold room. Now it sits at a 3-4 degree difference more often than not. Haven’t been through a summer season with it yet but suspect it’ll also help there and add efficiency to our unit.

Love the vents. I was actually pleasantly surprised by the quality of the vent itself. It's metal and built very well. So far I have only replaced 4 vents but I can already see an improvement in the temperature regulation of our place. Rooms that would get very hot are now more balanced or even colder when unoccupied, thus saving money on heating. Looking forward to adding more in the new year.

The vents do nearly everything you might expect them to. In my case, I have one floor that was getting too much heat/cooling. I paired the puck with my Ecobee thermostat, and my goal was straightforward: balance the temperatures between the two floors more closely resembling a new zone without redoing the ductwork to accomplish this.

These are great for balancing the temperature in our home. We have always felt a huge difference in the temperature of our front bedrooms versus our master bedroom. These help us keep both the front and master bedrooms at a comfortable temperature for us and our baby. The only negative is that the air is louder than normal when the vent is partially closed and I can sometimes here the vent opening/closing. None of this is bothersome enough to wake my baby (she’s had this in her room from about 6 months old), husband, or myself when sleeping, so not a big deal. The benefits definitely outweigh that tiny negative.
