Quality Concern
Very disappointed with the quality of the bed. After a few months of use, the bed became very wobbly and shaky. We tightened may times but have gotten were that no longer works. Recently, we discovered that our slide wood had split from the hook-- an obvious design flaw from the quality of material used and weight bearing epics holding it. We inquired about their policy becuase this now creates a safety issue for my toddler and because we're two months outside of warranty, they said sorry, purchase the new parts. Also disappointing. This was my first time not ordering from a larger company like PBK or Crate + Kids and I'm regretting not doing so. Guess you get what you pay.
Birthday bed
I bought this bed for my 6 year old daughter’s birthday. It came on time, well packaged, is good quality, and took me only 2.5 hours to assemble by myself, including clearing out her old bed.
Absolutely love this. My son
Absolutely love this. My son loves bunk beds and is always happy to go to bed. After school, he enjoys his fort beneath the bed. His cousins came over and they hung out under bunk bed. Only concern is the slide. When he goes down slide, he hurts his back and behind on bottom of slide. Maybe it should of had a slope on bottom to
Great bed but smells musty.
The bed was easy to put together and is stable. My son was very excited for his new bed but is now refusing to play in his room because it smells so bad (and I can't blame him). The bed arrived yesterday and when emptying the box I noticed a musty smell. I thought it was the packaging materials and put the bed together. Unfortunately, I was wrong, it's clearly the bed frame (and the box that is in our garage still smells). I have not seen any other reviewers commenting about the smell. I'm hopeful that it will go away. If not, we just wasted a lot of money on a horrible smelling bed frame.
I want to begin this review by stating that I truly wanted to give this product 4 stars. It’s well made and a good value for your money, not to mention my son LOVES it. They really messed up with the bed slats on these. It only had 7 slats that are spaced at 9.5” apart. That was not going to work with our low price foam mattress from the Swedish giant. My husband has to buy 3/4” plywood, cut 6 additional slats, and install them on the bed.
Love these beds so much! But the delivery was less than ideal. I ordered two of these loft beds & I live on the second floor of a condominium. The delivery driver left them downstairs in the middle of the walkway. I’m a single mom & had no way of bringing them up the stairs alone. Extremely unhappy with how that was handled but the product itself is wonderful.
Beautiful bed, terrible instructions
Literally the worst instructions I ever followed. NONE of the screws or hardware was labeled just like a picture of that next to another one with an x on it to show which one not to use so you had to compare every piece as you build it and hope it’s the right one. Other than that, the bed is beautiful and seems sturdy so far. I built it alone and I’m a small woman so it’s not that bad. Also, I don’t like that the tent only comes with one side. You have to put the bed in a corner if you actually want it like a tent.
5 Stars
This bed arrived sooner than expected which is always nice! And it is perfect for our daughter to enjoy while also giving her a special place below to use her imagination or have a friend bunk over. The drape is removable and arrived separately. The drape comes in 2 pieces, one for the side of the bed and one for the end of the bed and it sticks to the underside of the frame with a very strong tape with Velcro on the other side for the curtain. My husband and I put the bed together in about 2 hours and it was pretty straightforward. No missing pieces. There was no smell or need to air the room with this bed and the wood is solid. We bought a standard Lucid 10" twin mattress, but I think you could use an XL twin as there's room at the footboard. The 10" still leaves room for the side rail to provide protection. All in all we are very happy with the purchase and I would buy from this brand again in the future.
My kiddo loves the bed
My kiddo loves the bed and I do too! My kid is excited to go to bed every night and wakes up happy to go down the slide every morning. He also happily plays under the bed in his new play house. I can't say enough good things about this bed!
Strong construction, poor bells and whistles
The bed size and construction were overall very good. Putting it together was awful (and I'm typically very good at that stuff), it took forever. My son loves the bed. But he was VERY disappointed that the little fort covers immediately fell down after we put them up. We have not been able to keep them up by other means because they are so heavy, very disappointed. After a couple weeks of regular use the safety rail is very loose and wiggling. It works for us to do bedtime and we can both get in for stories and hanging out because the weight limit is pretty high. Not sure I'd buy it again but my son really loves it so we don't regret the purchase.
Toddler fun!
Our daughter is so excited for her new bed! We liked how easy the directions were to follow and put it together rather quickly. Sturdy and good material. Can be very easily dented or scratched though so be careful when putting the slide and ladder on. The only reason I gave it 4 out of 5 stars is because of the fact I just mentioned and that it only have a curtain for the front and ONE side that you can alternate to either side. I just wish it had a flap for both sides and maybe the back, it would just be better. Other than that I would recommend to parents with growing toddlers. I love how the ladder is slanted rather than straight vertical which was why we bought this as well. Perfect height and leaves a great amount in room still.
Good bed misleading description
So the bed itself is very nice. The manufacturing quality and the fit are all very nice
Granddaughter loves it!
Purchased this for my 3 year old granddaughter based on the reviews. The reviews are pretty accurate. It's sturdy and slightly lower than an average bunk/loft bed. Fits nicely in her small bedroom. It took 2 people about 2 hours to put together. Received it in perfect condition, no missing or broken pieces, but the screws, brackets, pegs and instructions are all thrown loosely in one box. We separated all of the pieces and put each set in individual labeled ziplock bags. Used a 6" mattress. In my opinion anything higher makes the safety rail almost useless and makes it difficult to use the slide. Time will tell how well it stands up to a rambunctious 3 year, but right now it seems very sturdy and stable.
Well made
Great bed, very sturdy and was easy to put together. I am a 40 year old woman, and I put the bed together by myself. Probably took about two hours, and needed minimal tools.I Purchased the bed for my daughter's fifth birthday. It arrived at the house in three boxes, which I took each box upstairs separately. Laid all materials out, and followed the directions to assemble. A purchase of the bed with the slide because I thought that would be fun for her and that is the one that she wanted. However, she hardly uses the slide now after six months of having it. The good thing to know is that the slide can be removed and stored elsewhere so if your child doesn't want to use it anymore you can just remove it.Probably one of the better quality beds that's made, as I went around to different furniture stores feeling the quality of the beds and this is definitely much better made.
Perfect bed for small room. Functional and fun
A little expensive I think, but still a good value I believe. It feels quiet sturdy and has a metal bar that runs down the middle which seems to help reinforce it. Our daughter hasn't slept on it yet as its a surprise, but I will update if any issues arise. So far I'm happy with both its functionality and fun elements. She has a small room so fitting storage and an extra little hideaway/reading nook was key to maximizing space. She is a very tall 5 year old, but I think this will last a little while for her needs. Easy assembly though a little tedious. Instructions were thorough and easy to read/follow. Do need a drill just to keep in mind.Update, so far no issues, and our daughter Loves her bed. She has a fun play area under it and the slide does well. She learned after first run how to land with her feet so she doesn't hit her bottom. Her older brothers now want a loft bed too lol
Definitely recommend
This is by far one of the best pieces of furniture we've ever bought. I definitely recommend if your child has a small room and lots of stuff the loft bed is the best way to go. There is tons of extra space. Best part about this bed is the slide can be removed when needed and the ladder and slide can go on either side. I read the reviews and was scared to buy this bed but I went with my gut and I'm so glad we did because it is by far way better than all the negative reviews that we read. It was easy to put together, The instructions were easy to read, A regular mattress works just fine on it. We haven't had any issues with it. The support is amazing 7 slabs of wood across and one long metal bar through the middle underneath the bed to help with support we didn't find it wobbling or difficult The slide it's perfect we didn't find it to slanted for our daughter she really enjoys it.
Quite a bit to put together but looks great
I am glad you can put the slide and ladder on either side. You need to iron the curtain/tent part before installing that portion but be careful and do not iron over the plastic window sections. It is all held in place by velcro. I wish it had some type of covering so you do not see or can touch the slats from the underside of the bed. My just turned 5 year old grandson loves it! He will outgrow the slide pretty soon though because he is tall. Ideal for 2,3,4 year olds for that part. The slide sits flat on the ground so your feet hit first. It would be better if the slide had a support that held the end piece up higher like most slides, but it is still pretty cool. It would also be cooler if the curtain panel enclosed both sides instead of just one side. We just moved and it would look so much better if we had all his star/moon/cloud lighting and his pictures of space on his wall.
Great bed, worth the buy!
My husband set this up in about 2.5 hours. It comes in hundreds of pieces fit into a long heavy box. I didnt help but he didn't complain too much as he was setting it up so I'm assuming it's not too difficult. It's surprising how it fit in that box!. My four year old LOVES it as expected. Bought 2 six inch mattresses. One for the top and one to put on the floor on the bottom. It's just like having a bunk bed, but with the option of having no lower bunk for storage or play space. It wobbles just a tiny bit when she crawls across to get to the slide but it's pretty sturdy. And when she stomps up the slide, and im sitting underneath, it sounds like she's gunna cracking right though the slide so I tell her no stomping. Also, the wooden slats that hold the top mattress in place, they're not sanded so if you're under the bed, don't run your fingers across the slats (as a child would be tempted to do) because I could feel a splinter waiting to happen. All in all it's a great bed!
So cute and fun!!
This is such an awesome little bed for my 4 year old daughter! I put it together all by myself and it took about 3-4 hours with some breaks. The hardest park was the first steps of getting the slats into both pieces. Tip: put the slat in every other slot on each piece then push them together one by one. Lay out all the pieces and make sure you sort your hardware. I put each packet into a different colored bowl before starting and then wrote down which bowl it was in on the instruction sheet because the screws are not true to size in the pictures and can be confusing. Also, if you have a staple gun use it to keep the velcro attached to the bed for the tent cover. It worked like a charm! It's stable enough for me to get on as a 6' tall woman and I feel secure with my daughter sleeping in it. Definitely worth the extra cost.
Awesome bed!
This is the coolest bed. I'm jealous, and I wanna go back to my childhood just so I can ask my parents for this bed lol. My son is 5 and still sleeps with us but now he wants to sleep in his own room, finally! He doesn't even want anything to do with us. He just wants to play under the bed now. He asked me to come hang out in his "fort" and I was able to sit underneath it comfortably without crouching or hunching. I'm 5'2". My 6'1" husband has a hard time sitting under it comfortably, but the height of the underneath area was my biggest deciding factor in this bed. Most others I was finding were 26" under, but this one is 33". We are able to fit his little lego table under it as well. You could definitely fit a chair, a desk, or something of that sort under it comfortably. Very happy with this purchase. We were able to put it together in 3 hours. The instructions were very clear. I read the assembly instructions, had each step laid out, and I was able to put it together myself while my husband just held pieces still for me (he recently had shoulder surgery, so he is one-armed at the moment). Very happy with this purchase! My only complaint is that it's creaks a little bit when my 48lb son climbs on it, but it does *feel* sturdy. I'm thinking as the bed stays in place and "settles" it'll stop creaking.
