Disaster

First, I am not a complainer. However, I would give this a zero rating if possible. The item is very poorly made. It appears to have arrived with multiple pieces missing. I paid BBB for assembly. The pro was scheduled to complete the assembly in two hours. He stayed almost six hours. The drawers do not work. There are large gaps around the doors and at the top of the unit. It looks awful and is completely unacceptable. Then when I called customer service, the person could not speak proper English. A complete disaster.

Beautiful, practical and functional love it!!

Love it! But it took forever to put together! Worth it though! Made it into a coffee bar Buffett! Makes my home office that much better! I did change out the hardware and painted the drawers.

Beautiful Cabinet with Lots of Storage

This cabinet fit in the needed space perfectly. It looks great, it arrived quickly with no damage to the parts. It went together easily, is sturdy, and seems like it will last us the long term.

Nice Product, Awful Instructions

To confirm what others have said, the instructions for this piece are awful. Even if you are really organized, putting each item in it's own location and carefully trying to decipher the instructions, you are likely to still be very frustrated by how poorly they are written. Many items are not even numbered so you must guess where they fit into the assembly. Due to all of this, the time required to complete it is FAR more than they claim. I'd say 3-4 hours if you don't make too many mistakes (I made a few). Now, about the actual unit--it's pretty nice (see photo). It's solid pine and looks good in the dining room. I did find a few spots where the paint wasn't done correctly and you can see the pine knots underneath. Given the low price compared to paying for a 'finished' piece, I guess it's worth the effort. To the manufacturer: FIX the instructions! And add a link to a video showing how to assemble it!

NO instructions for assembly !!! Took long time to figure out. Some screws were missing. Overall it looks good after you put it together.

Good, but...

I like the product, but as previous review noted, assembly is intense. This could be solved somewhat by increasing the size on the instructions. It's really hard to see in detail which direction or where some parts are to go. I was also disappointed that the interior shelf didn't have a support in the middle. It's clear that a 6 foot board is going to sag in the middle as soon as any weight is put on it. My partner and I had to fashion a support to place under the shelf to hold in place in the middle.

Really nice! My husband sorted all hardware and cables before he started which made for an easier assembly! I just love it! Huge amount of room for my entertaining dishes and wine goblets! 100 percent would recommend! Will order the smaller one to match!

Beautiful buffet

This piece is gorgeous. It did come delivered with 2 cracked doors but they sent me a replacement immediately. The major drawback on this item was putting it together. It took multiple hours to assemble. Overall, it's better than I expected!

Wonderful dining Buffay! So much storage space! Everything is solid wood! Oh, shit very quickly and was package. Great! Definitely took a lot of time and attention to put together correctly if you take your time. Well worth it in the end!

Complicated and frustrating

This did work out for the area in my kitchen. However, it was a lot of work putting together and if my husband didn't have power tools it would have been impossible. A lot of the hole and screws didn't line up I would not recommend this unless you have cabinetry experience, patience and time. Directions are very complicated.

Impossible to put together!

This table was impossible to put together. The pieces were not cut properly. We had to send it back because it would not work. We put together all of our furniture pieces and we have never had to send something back. Maybe we received a bad one out of the lot.

This piece is difficult to put together. The pieces are not clearly marked. Time consuming, plan on at least 3-4 hrs. After it's complete overall a nice piece of furniture. I would suggest getting a brace for the top shelf if you plan on putting weight on it. It's pretty flimsy in the middle when you have weight on the shelf.

3 hours of assembly time vs spending more $$

I love this piece. I purchased the 3 door version. I'd advise you to be organized with all the pieces and be prepared to take 3 hours to put this together. If it wasn't for the help of my husband and his previous experience, I don't think I would have figured it out. The top shelf has no support except at each end, so the items placed on this shelf must be lite enough so the shelf won't "sag". The drawer bottoms are not made of wood (it's thin particle board) and I didn't realize that when I purchased this, therefore, I had to put my silverwear in two drawers as to not have too much weight all in one drawer. You get what you pay for..... had I spent more money, I could have gotten something already assembled. But I like the color (white) and the size and it looks very nice. One of the door magnets was totally broken, but I didn't end up using them because I didn't like the way the doors opened and closed with them on. Instead I put a "soft" door stop on each door so they are nice and quiet when I close them.

I've just finished putting this together and Im very pleased. I inventoried all the parts and had one split piece and two pieces where the holes didn't match the drawing in the instructions. Overstock was extremely helpful and I had the new pieces in two days. Most of the wood pieces were labeled and what wasn't was obvious. All the hardware matched up and was clearly labeled. I found it fairly easy to assemble but for a few pieces I put in backwards - my fault as a careful following of the photo would have prevented it. I have assembled furniture like this in the past but not for a long time. I think the key is being patient and careful. I have some health issues so it took me a few short sessions to assemble. Probably 2-3 hours in total - but don't rush and you should be fine. It says not to use a drill - but a screw driver is not enough. I used a cordless electric screw driver and maybe twice used a small drill bit to predrill where the hole wasn't fully drilled or where the screw was struggling and needed a pilot hole. If you do this be cautious to use the right size bit and to ensure you don't drill too deep All in all I found it easy to build and I like the quality - especially for the price. I may put a clear coat on the unit as it is a flat finish and also I would like to protect the finish

Difficult build but nice buffet.

No hardware was included with the packaging. After calling the problem was rectified. The directions were clear but pieces were not labeled. Once the buffet was built it is a nice piece of furniture. I would only recommend this piece to someone who has patience but is satisfied with a job well done.
