Paint and stain ready right out of the box. I used borh stain and paint on the chair and it matches my dining table and bench I built perfectly. Great quality parawood, especially for the price. Highly recommended.

If you are planning on staining these don't. The wood is Parawood. This is made out of the rubbertree. It will not accept stain evenly even after sanding it like a local cabinet shop told me. These would work better painted. I have worked with all kinda of woods and this was a nightmare tostain. I accepted what I got because of the oak table I refinished. I cannot emphasize do not tryand stain it will be blotchy.
