Very nice shelf and good price
Very nice shelf and overall not to hard to put together. We will probably get another shelf from this company to match. We already have a matching rotating bookshelf and kitchen step stool for our toddler by Guidecraft that we also love.
SMELLS
I was excited to find this supposed Greenguard certified shelf because that, in my experience, means very, very low odor and that is especially important in products meant for children. However, this REEKS. It’s not the temporary “I just opened the box” smell, it’s a strong chemical odor that is embedded in every piece of it, most notably the cloth baskets. There’s no way I can use it. I just had foot surgery. This is big and heavy. I’m extremely disappointed and mad. Item description is misleading. Avoid if you care and/or sensitive to odors.

Another happy purchase from Guidecraft
This is our second Guidecraft open-storage shelf, and it is serving us as well as our first. This one is in our basement playroom, where it helps keep our kid games, puzzles, and toys from becoming hazards to the newly walking baby, and looks good doing so. It was easy enough for me to put together by myself with minimal rework only due to my own inattention near the end.
