Not as good as my first one

The reason for so low is that it's hard to remove top of box for cleaning. I have an other one that is also MODKAT but smaller and is much easier to remove top.

Actually worth the price

Since we bought this litter box, the chore of cleaning it out and sweeping up what’s usually tracked on the floor has become so much easier. Plus the smells are greatly reduced too. The search is over. Just spend the extra cash and you’ll be glad you did.

HUGE Litter Box & Stylish

We have a kitty with elevator butt (she likes to stand up when she pees), so a top entry litter box was necessary. This litter box is bigger than I could have hoped, and it looks great! Super stylish and modern. We might even purchase a second one!

Very Happy Cats!

First, all three of my cats use the XL box with no issues, I purchased two and will probably be ordering a third since I have 3 cats. I am using it as a front entry and I do keep the lid half open. None of them have a problem with the liners. It was a bit tricky to put together the frame for the lid and I do think there is an opportunity for improvement with the tabs and hooks for the liners. I like the height of the box and while litter still gets scattered when they leave the box, it is not too bad. I don’t use the scoop, I prefer stainless and do wish that was an option. I would not hang a scoop without something under it, that could be another improvement. All in all, while pricey, it was a good purchase.

Attractive design, larger than most

I purchased the XL because it has both a side and top entry. The top which gives kind of a skylight I leave open so they don’t feel closed-in. This is a minor point, but the scoop for this has smaller holes, not a grate, and so it is able to catch the smaller clumps and leave a cleaner litter.

Game changer

Hello. We absolutely LOVE our modest litter box and so does our cat Tuna Fish. Such a game changer in look and clean-up.

Better than expected!

My kitties kept getting litter everywhere and sometimes aiming outside the box. The Modkat XL was the perfect solution for what I needed. It still provided some openness for them while keeping things more contained. I bought two and haven’t regretted it! I also had an issue with a small part breaking off in shipment. I reached out to customer service and the rep, Anna, was super helpful and accommodating. Definitely would recommend!

Big litter box, annoying lid

It’s big and I love the litter box liners to make cleaning so much easier, the only drawback is that the lid doesn’t hinge very well and is annoying to move to clean.

Great for cats that like to kick litter!

This litter box has saved my sanity. For over a year, my cat has been kicking litter all over the floor with his old litter box. As an Airbnb host, you can see how this would be a nightmare. The Modkat XL Litter Box prevents this from even being an option, especially with the top entry. I'd highly recommend this to anyone who wants a modern-looking box that fits a nice esthetic with a messy cat!

A great box

Great quality box, plenty of room for my big cat. The liner keeps things from getting stuck to the sides making it much easier to scoop.

It’s what my cat needs

My cat has a modkat at her home, but didn’t have one at her vacation home. I spent days of cleaning up her pee that ended up outside her vacation basic high sided box, until I ordered another Modkat. From day 1, no more messes! It’s the greatest- although expensive. For me and my cat it’s worth every penny.

Great litter box for large cats!

I have 2 Ragdoll cats and this box works well for them. Also, the top load feature keeps the dog out!

I was skeptical, but Im impressed!

I needed a box my cat couldn't accidentally pee out of and onto my floor, but also one big enough for him (hes huge). Additionally, I wanted the box to be decent looking. I wasn't sure how my cats would adjust to using a top load litter box so I liked that this was adjustable. Left the lid off for a week or two until they knew what was going on. Added the lid and it was smooth sailing. No more little misses. Less tracking. Also have had no issues with the liner. I love the concept and that it will make keeping the box sanitary. Soooo much less work than hosing and scrubbing down the box. Really honestly impressed with it. Thanks team!

Working fine for my 1 yo Maine Coon

He’s an aggressive digger so the enclosed place is good. He doesn’t have enough room though to cover his poops so he sticks his hand in it. Not sure how much larger he will get before I’m on the market for a new box lol
