Great System Until You have to change the filter
I am done with this pitcher. Changing the filter is an absolute nightmare! I have had this pitcher 3+ years. It gets more difficult every filter change.
LifeStraw Home 7-Cup Pitcher, awesome!!!
Have only had this pitcher a few weeks and I absolutely love it! First few fills filtered slowly as expected and have gotten faster gradually. I also bought the silicone base and it’s a nice addition that adds solid grip. Would definitely recommend this to others!
Love the design but it takes forever to filter
I love shopping at crate and barrel. I bought this filter a few months ago as my fiancé and I were getting ready to move in together. We moved in together two months ago and were finally able to start using this filter. I love the design, and I was looking forward to use it, but it’s been two months, and it’s still taking a couple hours for the water to filter through when it should only take a few minutes. I checked with my friend who owns the same filter, and she is not having the same issue.
The filtration rate is like watching water boil!
This is my third pitcher
This is my third pitcher that cracked after normal use…
Delivery cost too high
The delivery cost to Canada is too expensive. Pls find an alternate carrier.
Slow, and on the heavy side
This is mentioned in some reviews but I think should be emphasized: if you like this pitcher, you might want to get two of them. It takes a really long time for water to make it through the filters into the pitcher, and repeated filling to get enough water to actually fill the pitcher (as in you fill the filter assembly to capacity and it yields a very small amount of water into the pitcher). Essentially you need one pitcher to be filling while you're using the other one. Also, if you're used to plastic pitchers, be aware this one is much heavier.

So far…
Happy with the purchase. I trust that my water is pure and that it is making a difference in the quality of my drinking water.
Good filter but VERY slow
This is a nice glass pitcher and the filtered water is great, but it is extraordinarily slow. It takes 6-8 hours to filter one glass of water so really doesn't work well for our family of 4.
Love it! Works great.
I've had the life straw filter for a couple months now. Overall, it's very easy to use. It comes apart easily for cleaning and is easy to fill. It's the perfect size for one person (and 2 cats), though a little heavy.
Looks nice, but very slow filtering!
I’m a little frustrated by how long it takes to filter the water. The first time I filled it to flush the membrane microfilter, the water dripped out about one drop every 5 seconds, so it took a few hours to empty the filter housing. It is getting better, but still only has about 1-2 drips a second, so it still seems painfully slow. I know the directions state it will improve over time, but how fast will it eventually filter? Additionally, I found the filter housing difficult to get out.
Replacement
Great company, great water filter. Had a broken pitcher they replaced it with no problems.
cracked glass
i bought the glass carafe filtering set up. the carafe cracked after about 6-7 months. we do not know how it happened. it could perhaps have had a blow, but none of us using it recalls any event that might have caused this. the crack was under and above the silicone base. do you all know of this being a problem? so i just ordered a complete new one and it seems to be fine for now.
It is a gift for
It is a gift for my son and I haven’t given it to him yet.
Easy to use. Great tasting
Easy to use. Great tasting water! My dogs prefer it to RO water.
So bummed.
Hello Lifestraw,
Good
I love it. It’s the best water pitcher I’ve ever had.
Just as good as Brita or Pur and not much better as advertised!.
The Total dissolved solids (TDS) number of the filtered water from this Lifestraw filter is still close to 100ppm. I was expecting this filter to have TDS to below close to zero or low single digits (similar to zero water filters). Why is this the case. Also the carbon filter is not making the taste much fresh compared to Bosch Ultraclarity filters in the refrigerators. Overall, the filter is not working as marketed.
